The polls are open, so go ahead and vote in the poll at the bottom and feel free to make any suggestions and/or criticisms in the comments below.
And please don't hesitate to tell me you want on the list for next time.
NOTE: There has been some speculation as to what the criteria are for this vote. Should guys who are currently in the bigs be involved in "prospect" discussions? For the sake of this exercise we're taking what the guys have done in the big leagues and using the BA prospect formula of 130 AB's or 50 ip. If a guy is under those limits, he's still a prospect right now, so he goes on the list. It's that simple.

Robbie Ross
So much super sexy ceiling in the Lil’ Lefty.
The holdout sucks, but all will be forgotten when he pulls a C1 and ownerships the MWL next year right out of the gate.
BTW, I’m absolutely giddy that I’m voting for a guy of his caliber (and having to agaonize over it, no less) this freaking late in the process.
We’re. Freaking. Loaded.

Is Ross really that highly regarded and projectable already?
I admit, I didn’t pay a whole lot of attention to him after we signed Justin Smoak, but my understanding was that he’s still prety raw. But if he really is that projectable, I might change my vote on the final poll from Beau Jones to Ross if German Duran wins this one.

Ross
Above AVe to plus fastball 90-93, ave secondary stuff, with excellent control for a prep guy. MiLB suggests he doesn’t have the high ceiling projection as say someont like Main or Beavan but should move fast through the system because he throws all his pitches for strikes. I think BA was a little more enthusiastic about his projection.
Here is the MiLB line to the Ross profile and you can find the 99 others as well, some with video:

Smoak...
Has he signed? The only reason I’m asking is because of what Jon wrote, which could just be a mistake. Of course, I could be wrong as well.

Some Ross Love From BA
Kentucky offers its best draft crop ever this year, and its high school class is especially deep with four prospects with the talent to go in the top two rounds. The best of that contingent is Ross, a lefty with pitches and polish. He sits at 90-92 mph and touched 94 with his fastball, and his secondary pitches and command are just as impressive. He shows a hard slider and nice feel for a changeup, and he pounds the strike zone. The only knock on Ross is that he’s just 6 feet tall, but he generates his quality stuff via athleticism and arm speed, rather than effort. Scouts eagerly anticipated his late-April matchup with fellow Lexington southpaw Nick Maronde, and Ross didn’t disappoint. He struck out 14 and walked none, giving up just an unearned run while dealing Maronde the second loss of his prep career. He also outdueled Niceville (Fla.) lefty Brett DeVall earlier in the year, ending the game with a 94-mph fastball for a strikeout. A Kentucky recruit, Ross should be signable in the first two rounds.

Oh yea
They had him #2 for best high school command and #43 overall. Considering none of us have seen him play, that’s about all we have to go on.

Its interesting
how BA extolls his secondary pitches (for a prep LH) and MiLB just claims they are no more than average…

I just don't get it
A guy that bats .243 with an OBP of .288 in AAA and .225 BA and .279 OBP in MLB at age 24 getting more votes than a guy like Ross who has A LOT more potential.

Well
He was 23 until yesterday. And this has been largely a lost season for him, but he still is a middle infielder who showed good offensive skills last year. I think he, Ross, and Boscan are all good choices here.

While it's a mistake...
to vote for German Duran (Cristian Santana should have been added to the list several picks ago), I wouldn’t rule out the possibility that Duran will be starting at Third Base next year for the Rangers. That deserves consideration (but not your vote. Not yet).

+1
nothing wrong with a lot of these guys, but I guess after getting a lot of my guys in quickly I am becoming a glutton for punishment. I voted for vallejo about ten times (maybe not that much, but more than half a dozen times) and this time I narrowly choose santana over ross/poveda/boscan. I did forget about duran though, he probably should be next even though as AJM said, it has been a lost season for him.
I'm sorry my parents never had me sarcamsized.

If Kiker is picked at #10
there’s no way in hell Ross should be losing for pick #24.

Kiker and Ross
Ross has nice upside and he was a high draft pick but you can’t group him in with Kiker at this point.
That said, I’d be fine with Ross at #24 but I voted for Santana. I think his potential/skill set is being undervalued at this point. His performance this season isn’t helping matters.

Went with Santana
But I’ll admit I’m just throwing darts. Went with upside, which has been the theme for me throughout the votes. Ross would have been the alternate.
