Minor league update
Sorry to break up a perfectly good Rangers game-day thread, but Martin Perez is pitching for the Spokane Indians tonight and the Tri-City radio guy said that the 17-year-old lefty just unleashed a 94 MPH fastball to strike out a DustDevil. I have noted in previous games that Perez uses a fastball/curveball combo to great effect, but I had no idea that he had that kind of pace on his fastball. Can anyone verify that the young lefty throws that hard?

If he flames out well hell that happens but to attack someone for noticing that a young LA arm is doing darn well at a level far advanced for his age, is a good thing. Cause I predict Mizzou to win the big 12 north. Sorry Kansas fans, I know we got several on here. But Missouri looks pretty damn good this year. So book it longhorn. We win the Big 12 this year.

I tend to agree with you.
I think OU is loaded this year, and Tech should be better than usual. Plus, the Horns play Mizzou (albeit at home) this year. I think 10 wins plus a bowl win would be a real coup.

5.28 ERA, 1.587 WHIP. ERA+ of 80.
He has sucked for the vast majority of the season, he just didn’t start blowing saves until recently.

I live in Washington and get Extra Innings.
But, for some reason, YES is the only feed I get today. That said, they’ve been very enjoyable.
No Michael Kay, and if you didn’t know it you’d think they were Rangers homers if anything.
