‘has impressed you most’ not ‘has been the most productive rookie according to an objective statistical criterion’
ellsbury has incredible speed and what might be called an exciting style of play, so i could understand him being thought of in that context. it just goes to show though that players arent necessarily in tune to the same things fans and the media are when it comes to evaluating a player’s performance.

Question for anybody with a DVR...
You know what it means when there is a K next to a show that is recorded, right? It means KEEP. As in “hey, I liked that show, I think I’ll keep it”. So that’s what I do last night after the game is over is KEEP the great walk off win that I now will have until I decide to make room for another big win.
Well, I come home tonight and tell my wife that she missed a heckuva game last night but that’s OK because it was so good that I recorded it for her.
The next words out of her mouth were “Oh, I think I deleted that game today”.
She had no idea what the big K was for.
