more about how great his pitches are. How fast his fastball is, the type of break on a slider or curveball, etc. People usually talk about control and command separately.

that when you fuck over one set of pitchers with a worse strike zone and then screw over that team’s hitters in saying that the strike zone mysteriously expands half a foot in each direction against the best closer in baseball, it all of a sudden isn’t just end of story. I’m so sick and tired of this crap. These calls aren’t even close. Its one thing for the tracker to show that it just barely touched the zone or something, but its clear as day that it isn’t anywhere close to the strike zone. The ump calls the same exact pitches balls right before and after. Sometimes, the balls are actually closer to being strikes than the “strikes” are.
