Rangers lose.  They are now 6 back in the wild card race.

And the bigger news is that David Murphy is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with a strained knee ligament.  Nelson Cruz as a replacement?  Nope, he's hurt.  Evan Grant is saying Jason Ellison, maybe.

Eddie Guardado is now the closer, although I imagine you already knew that.  And Kevin Millwood is set to make a rehab start on Saturday, and if all goes well there, will re-join the rotation after that.

J-JT says C.J. Wilson will never be the Rangers closer again.

This past 2 games makes me realize

that it’s the DMN that has he credibility problem, not CJ. They’ve tossed up 10 hit pieces on CJ in 36 hours.

Holy Crap

why is JJT allowed to write about baseball? This guy has less talent than one of my leg hairs! I almost quit reading this column before I ever started, when I saw the title, which is absolutely REDICULOUS, ” Wilson’s career with Texas Rangers draws to a close”, REALLY? so the Rangers are going to just give up on a 26 year old 6’3 Lefty that has had some GREAT SUCCESS against lefthanders? REALLY? JJT needs to focus on the 53 man roster and leave the 40 man for people that know what they are talking about!

rediculous vs. ridiculous

Is this spelling a fad or something? I’ve seen this too many times from too many people and I’m starting to think that it’s a hip internet thing or something.

Time you enjoy wasting was not wasted.

No

Just a stupid people thing.

And calling folks stupid

For a one letter error…

Is a grammar nazi thing.

Ok...

I guess you had a point in mind when you gleefully searched out that jpeg, but something got lost in translation, because now you’ve just cluttered up this thread and I can only assume that nobody here could possibly care less about your “message”.

But hey, uh….FAIL, STAR WARS KID, THE OFFICE…uh.. uh…TURTLES…

There are some more triggers for your internet brilliance. Go find me some more hilariousness.

Well, that comeback was a bag of nothing

My point was you shouldn’t call people idiots because they transposed one letter in the word “ridiculous”. It’s a very common misspelling, and doesn’t make someone “stupid” for making that mistake. If anything, it makes you look like a pathetic ass for trying to make yourself look superior because you can spell the word “ridiculous”. Speaking of which… I don’t even know why I’m wasting bandwidth arguing with someone like that.

Last word’s yours… try to make your comeback a little better than the last one.

Hm

Are you sure “grammar-nazi” should be hyphenated?

Plaschke: Scioscia, the former Dodgers catcher, is the model manager who has created an atmosphere of winning.

I was actually

asking a serious question, not trying to be a nazi. I am monumentally unhip and thought that if so many idiots were doing it maybe it was a fad, like kewl, or ‘nuff said or something.

And why is your viewpoint the one we should trust? If you had your way, every article in every paper would cover the formation of C.J.’s ass cheek hair.

In this era of flash and glam in the sports world

The DMN writers are like a pack of truck stop lizards trying to flash their tired, sagging wares at you every 5 minutes, but no one is interested

Jenius!

I think my favorite part of the JJT opus was “But the closer, the most important position in this era of specialization,” You give me 40 Mariano Rivera’s and I’ll give you the world (series)!

That JJT article was crap

His “career” with the Rangers is coming to a close? How in the world does someone draw that conclusion from the recent events?

freaking awesome. This goes back to a post on another thread, on how you can be in the business to write or talk about sports all the time, and still know next to nothing.

Agreed

He does know so little about the Rangers it qualifies as bona fide embarrassing, yet he retains his job as a professional writer. It’s right up there with Joe Morgan and Stephen A Smith’s lack of command of the english language as a writer.

Can someone tell me exactly what happened last night...

...when Jeter was picked off first but somehow managed to get to second safely? I was at the game and had a bad angle to see what happened and of course they didn’t show a replay in the stadium.

Wow I've been accused of being a MY hater...

...but even I wouldn’t say he exemplifies mediocrity. Just average to slightly above average play overrated to the point that a casual fan might think he belongs in the Hall of Fame.

I checked FJM for the first time in over a week today, and wound up laughing my ass off at this. If you need some early morning entertainment, I highly reccomend clicking that.

The pitching showed promise last night

Hunter showed he has the potential everyone talks about, Maddog was awesome IMO, and Benoit appears to be coming back nicely from the DL. So all is not rotten this morning.

if Adam is linking JJT and Galloway just to drive comments. Just like when some sports talk idiot says something controversial to light up the lines.

I watched the game on ESPN.

I could’nt believe how bad the Rangers defense was in this game. Your guys look like giants at the plate but little leaguers in the field.

the first two games of this series

Actually were pretty good defensively. I also couldn’t believe how terrible it looked last night.

Enjoy your success while you can, your reign atop the West is drawing to a close.

I really like your old team this year and I hope that Tex does not destroy your clubhouse. Good luck with GMJ’s contract and losing K-rod in the off season.

Everything I said was true as well.

I think our D has played pretty well, and believe we have one of the better outfield D’s in the league. I saw it as him starting some crap and the only bad defensive play I remember was the drop by Young. Although the Byrd man does need to learn how to time his jumps when Nady is at the plate.

Infield defense

Is pretty bad. Kinsler has good range but botches routine plays, MY is just downright terrible. Unless it’s hit right at him, he’s not going to get it. Even then it can be a problem.

yep I hate to admit it but it’s true :(

I've never seen a pitcher with "bone spur" issues throw 96 mph. The only spurs I'm aware of are the spurs that Wash has buried in C J's ass as he rides him. I love ya C J but welcome to Wash's DOGHOUSE.
