Way to show respect
for your fellow blogger, Adam. Can’t even manage to look up his name?

Holy crap
I never realized how smoothly you and Jamey speak during these podcasts until I heard Joey. I’m sure he’s a bit nervous though, so I’ll give him a break.

I would also like to say that I cannot believe you sided with ESPN.

I don't understand
why people can’t believe ESPN would talk about one of the top young pitchers who plays in the top media market instead of Marlon freakin’ Byrd. I agree that there is a bias towards NY with ESPN, but he picked a bad example.

You're right...it's just
I love the Rangers, but my true love is baseball. My big gripe with it is that we don’t get baseball news and baseball analysis, instead we get a lot of knee-jerking from media types who happen to cover sports instead of the political arena. It just beats me down.

Yep.
I’d be nervous as well. Given the circumstances, I think Joey Matschulat did a good job.

I agree with you about ESPN
Everyone here bitches and moans about Yankee drama that gets more coverage than Ranger wins, but the rest of the country doesn’t care. Even more to the point I am sure that Eagles fans, Redskins fans, and especially small market NFL teams get really pissed when they have something good going on and all ESPN wants to talk about is who Romo is dating, what TO had for breakfast. You really can’t have it both ways. You can’t say it is a regional bias and a bias against the Texas teams when the Cowboys get more NFL coverage on ESPN than any other team, including NY teams, one of which is the defending super bowl champ.
Not to mention USC and LA Lakers are West Coast teams that get tons of ESPN love. I think it has nothing to do with regional bias as it does big name and national interest bias. ESPN exists to make money, and nothing makes more money than big market teams, big name players, and sappy stories. When some kind of story happens to a big name player on a big name team they’re going to milk it for all they can get.

I'd like to thank Adam for not ripping my horrible effort
I got nervous and choked in the presence of such greatness. Ted was right – I was thinking too much. I had some powerful sports points (particularly on C.J. Wilson and the organization’s handling of the situation) that I completely forgot because I got to thinking too far ahead and losing my train of thought. Doesn’t help that this is only the second (and by far the most high-profile) radio effort I’ve done yet.
If Adam and Jamey and Ted ever decide to have me back on (which should be sometime in 2013), I’d love to give it another go.

Some time in 2013???
Don’t be silly – 2011, 2012 tops!
Seriously, thanks for helping us out by coming on the show.
