I don't get the chance to watch a lot
because of my work schedule, but that was a pretty fine barehanded catch and throw by Davis, even though he couldn’t get the runner…has he been playing good 3B since the switch?

yes
he hasnt looked out of place at all.
not gold glove or anything, but he looks like he could hold down the position if it best suited the club he do so.
if they need him at 3b to keep him in the lineup i think its viable. at least for now.

I’m one of those strange people who likes to name their car. With a brand new one in the garage and Buzz on a lot somewhere in Des Moines, it’s time to come up with a new name. I want the new one to have a baseball-related name, so here are the current options my friends are voting on…
- Annie (obviously after “Bull Durham,” although the wife in “Field of Dreams” was also named Annie)
- Katie Casey (the girl for whom “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” was written)
- Ribbie (um…RBI anyone?)

Why was Mendoza put in this game?

Because he's been virtually untouchable in relief this season?

Actually it was because Loe was tired
after 3 pitches
By 2028, Mark Teixeira will be in the HOF.

I have been ...
… accused of being a vampire before. Anyone who saw my previous avatar will obviously know why. Imagine their surprise when I tell them I am not a vampire, but actually a Mexican.

Well, so has Kam Loe lately
We need to hire Chuck Norris to kick the ass of any Ranger fan caught booing one of our young pitchers at the RBiA.

Wash's search for a relief
pitcher to blow the game is under way.

WTF??
Why not let Kam Loe pitch more than one batter in this game??
Mendoza sucks

anyone notice that
Salty has OPS+ of 91 and Laird’s is 94.
Sure is evening up when a certain player gets his ABs..

yeah, but Salty is the worst fielding catcher the Rangers may have ever gotten their hands on

That's not true
And Laird’s defense has sucked lately too. I don’t think he’s thrown a runner out in quite awhile.

Mendoza in '09
Does he make the team out of ST in ’09?
by mattrpav on Sep 1, 2008 9:09 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
depends on
which mendoza shows up. tonight he is upping his fastball into the 93-94 range, which flattens it out and hitters pound it.

Main
I just checked the minor league box scores and saw Main only went one inning. Anyone know why?
Also, Taylor Teagarden, please continue to prove me wrong…
by clark on Sep 1, 2008 9:09 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
And Teagarden's home run is for naught
