Mr. Show is greatness. This is one of my favorite sketches:

Good choice
I always liked the intro with of the photo processing, which explains the chocolatey finger prints on the photos.
I am the motherfucking shore patrol, motherfucker! I am the motherfucking shore patrol! Give this man a beer.
What do you expect?
From post infantile, voice hasn’t even changed yet, prepubescent mind sets? That’s about as close to comedy as “I like Tits” is close to opera by Puccini.

I prefer...
…the Altered State of Drugachusetts sketch:

Dreaming of 2009
Yeah
I think that may be their best one.

To this day...
…any time I’m at a party where there’s pizza, I do my impression of the Mayor of Drugachusetts and declare the pizza awesome. Inevitably, it gets a Mr. Show fan to at least say hi to me. Turns out, it’s a pretty decent icebreaker.
Dreaming of 2009
That was retarded.
Wasted 4 minutes…but for some reason I kept watching.
Show me Flight of the Conchords and then I’ll laugh.

Mr. Show
This one’s my favorite:

Cross and Odenkirk are supposed to have a new show on HBO sometime soon. I’m glad to see them working on another collaborative project, as most of their post-Mr. Show solo work has just flat-out sucked, with the exception of Cross’ comedy albums and Arrested Development.
I’m a big, big fan of their work, to the point that I’ve sat through some really terrible stuff just because one of them was involved in it.

Mr. Show
Someone gave me copies of one of the seasons and i never got around to watching it. I should dig it up because those two are hilarious. Though im not sure anything can top david cross in arrested development
"I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it." - Mitch Hedberg
Mr Show was pretty funny
That sketch never really did it for me, though. I guess if you can’t stand the ultra patriotic/country singer/Christian conglomerate like David Cross and guys like Bill Maher can’t, the sketch is more poignant.
horrible
as a netflix addict, i can say that i sequentially watched every episode of mr show (i think i heard about it on bad radio years ago).
mr show is horrible.
my problem is that i watch crap like this beginning to end instead of bailing as soon as i know it sucks.
i liked arrested development, but that same d-bag was still not funny there either.
Tobias was EXCELLENT on AD.
Absolutely excellent. Everything about that show was.
The only people funnier on AD were Arnett and maybe Winkler.
a much better
anti-jingoistic farce is Verhoeven’s Starship Troopers…

AJM...
Have you seen any of Cross’ stand-up?
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance."-Socrates
Yep
I saw him perform live at the Laff Stop a few years ago. I liked his standup more before he went into Carlin circa early 90s mode and turned his routine into political ranting.

True...
he’s very political now. Similar to a Bill Maher or Lewis Black in that sense I guess. Still enjoy his stuff, but I like the political schtick in comedy too.
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance."-Socrates
I disagree
Lewis Black is more about political satire or doing comedy that addresses political issues. Cross (like Carlin, for a while) is more about using comedy as a vehicle to get across his political p.o.v.

You don't think...
Black or Maher use their comedy to get accross their political point of view? I certainly do.
