To those who only really knew him as Cletus Snow from the Smokey and the Bandit movies, he was GREAT guitar player too.

jerry reed is one of my favorites…he seemed like he loved living his life…i am a songwriter in okc and when i perform we play under the moniker ‘jerry redd and the snowmen’ (my nickname is red)…was talking to a friend of mine last night who was a nashville player back in the 70’s and he recounted a couple of meetings with jerry that confirmed his ornery and funloving reputation
