So some random thoughts...
- Cinnamon Toast Crunch is quite possibly the best cereal ever invented.
- I’m convinced I’m not really “cool” enough to “get” Lookout Landing, and thereby declare it the most pompous avenue on the web.
- I cannot handle playing cards with five nieces below the age of 7.
- Apparently there are two versions of Saigon’s “Letter P”; the one I just saw on an episode of Entourage, and the crappy one I just downloaded.
- I should be in charge of YouTube Friday.

Texas State/SWT
is about 10x a better school than SFA. Texas State is actually one of the more selective schools in the state now. Around 30k enrollment this year. It’s not the same SWT as it used to me.

a friend of mines father is involved in the AD there
still the same things going on, just a larger enrollment. Fortunately they are finally moving up in the academic part. Rather impressed with the work being done in their accounting dept.
SFA is still a joke. The UT dean of Ed to took over as Pres pretty much bankrupted the school and the academics never got better.

Lots of great stuff in the last few episodes. Probably my favorite thing about the show is how little they have changed in how each episode is done. A lot of shows can’t do that.

ok – is it possible that they throw more than necessary b/c they are better at it than most?
an unnecessary throw is still an unnecessary throw. they might be better than most, but do they think they are better than they really are?
just an example – no throw to home by laa on byrd – hank stays at first.
i have seen A LOT of throws home by tex when there was no chance to get the runner, and the hitter (and anyone else on base) inevitably advances. would they bet better conceding the runner more often – knowing their limitations (even if their limitations are not as limitating as other teams)?
minimizing damage seems especially important when your pitching sucks.
the other side of that is trying to get an out when you have the chance (b/c your staff sucks), but they seem to misjudge their potential a lot.
just an observation – doesn’t mean it’s right.

I did at least expect to see more of a gamethread when I got home.
I pretty much checked out of the game during the 8th inning. The fan on the field put some spark back in it, though. After the ejections, I was hoping for a brawl. I’ve never gotten to see one in person.
