I'm almost certain Hamilton was worse than that earlier in the year.
Which would lead me to believe that for the last several months he’s been above average.
I think he improved and I think he can be a solid centerfielder in the future. I would prefer him in the corner, though, or maybe DH. More for fatigue issues, really.
I don't know that he has improved.
He made a horrible read on a ball hit in the Anaheim series. Went over his head. Those were the same types of mistakes he was making earlier in the year.
He plays a shallow centerfield.

I remember earlier in the season saying Hamilton wasn't fielding like an elite. . .
. . . would be met with pitchforks and torches. People would get PISSED if someone pointed out he wasn’t a very good fielder.

with big talents like that. I’d probably feel about as comfortable with him starting game four as Jackson, especially if you’re talking about a left handed leaning lineup.

I was pre-approved for an apartment with the Vista's back in July, but I backed out because of work issues.
If I were to re-apply for a lease, since they have me on recent record, I don’t know that I would be able to tell them I was referred and qualify for that special.

but what I save in gas makes up for it. I only fill up every 2 weeks or so, which helps.

That’s greatness!! Ha ha. Ironically, of the three I took — Blalock, Laird and Millwood — I came home with Millwood. The first ticket they drew for the three posters was a girl. She chose Hank because he was “cute.” The next ticket was my brother’s, so he just took Millwood. The third ticket was a guy who probably had no clue who Laird was. Ah well…the whole event raised about $4,000 for this couple that lost their baby last week. The money will help with funeral and hospital bills.

Its possible he could manage to be a decent bullpen arm at some point. But there should be no hesitation to lose him if the spot is needed.

The guys commented "nice play" on a foul ball caught by a fan...
And went on and on about it…
And the whole time we watched CD in the batter’s box doing nothing.

Two things. Bill Hohn’s strike zone is consistent – - consistently outside. And Luis Mendoza is cursed. No one else capable of throwing a baseball could possibly carry around that little black cloud, everywhere.

umpires shouldnt be allowed to have their own K zone
theres a strikezone, call it.
especially horizontally, in which you cant be any more defined than the plate. its the same width for every player in baseball. at least vertically the people calling it larger are actually probably ging by the official zone and it varies player to player for more error.
but theres no excuse for the 6 inch outside strike to duran posted in gif form in tihs thread.

Bill Hohn is very poor at calling balls and strikes
I used to be willing to chalk it up to a bad night or two, but it’s a pretty clear trend.
