AL MVP
so far at least...with about 22 games left for most teams
i posted this earlier when there were about 34 games left i think. giving a little update. i promise i won't do this again...at least until the end of the season.
i'm thinking this would be the top 20 (not considering pitchers). because the voters give RBI and how good a team is more weight, i did so too.
of course at the end of the year quentin and kinsler will definitely move down seeing as how they are out for the year. and of course we can't quantify the "great story of hamilton" overcoming that stuff and killing the derby. i'm sure he'll get more votes than what he truly merits.

I guess I'd go with Quentin
But the fact that Hamilton plays centerfield is a strong argument in his favor.

Granted you don't really give MVP's to pitchers but...
He’s clearly not even the most valuable member of his team.

Well not that win/loss records mean a whole lot but...
It’s tough to argue against anyone who is 20-2 on a team with a losing record. That’s slightly absurd.

I want to post a list of them all by WARP and Win Shares Above Bench.
Not because either one of those would exactly reflect my list, but because it gives you an interesting look. I might do so later.
My vote at this point would probably be Cliff Lee, maybe Grady Sizemore.

I'm thinking that one of the two jackass Red Sox are going to get it
ARod probably should, but Yankees fans don’t even think he deserves it. It’s a little hard to see him getting it when him winning wouldn’t even be popular in NY, much less Boston.

It's too bad no one has really stepped up in TB
It’d be kickass to see a Ray win the MVP. But it’s been a more of a team effort there. Looking at the stats… What the hell happened to Bossman Junior’s power? I knew the homers had slipped, but a sub-.400 slugging percentage? Good lord. He was .500+ last year.
