Very thought provocing,
and generally my same ideas on the main players he would vote for.

Ryne Sandberg was a thoroughly ineffective player after he turned 34
I have been thoroughly ineffective after 34 as well! Imagine that!

Hall of Fame Talk
My wife got me an XM satellite radio for Christmas. I’ve been listening to the MLB Home Plate, and there has been a lot of Hall of Fame talk. I wish most of it was as insightful as this article.

i have always thought it was absurd
that blyleven wasnt in yet, though my reasoning wasnt as refined and convincing as in that article. he’s the best of both schools: a dominant stretch during his peak years and longevity as an effective player.

Burt "the Bird" Blyleven
His famous gesture probably costs him sportsmanship points.

have to agree
Blyleven not in the Hall is an absolute absurdity.

Posnanski must type
about 500 words a minute. I don’t know how he manages so much output, all of it cogent.

OT of nothing
I’ve just hit 3,000 comments here. Is that sad? My guess is sad.
Nothing pithy here. Please move long.

Naw, that ain't sad
I’m trending toward 15,000, and the majority of those where from earlier this year before I learned to stop acting like a shithead. That’s sad.

Well
Earlier last year, actually. It actually would have been pretty impressive if the majority of those where from yesterday.

In the profile pic?
Yeah. Gotta support my SoCal homie!
I’m in agreeance with MJH, I think O’Campo is one of the guys who could be primed for a breakout season this year.
