OT: Tony Romo nails it

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3849113

Romo, for his part, told the Racine Journal Times this week that: "You never win the big one until you win the big one. Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin were fired before they ended up going on their playoff run last year and winning the Super Bowl. Three games before the playoffs, neither one of them were coming back.

"So, believe me, the NFL is such a reality show. Week to week, you're the best player in the league to the worst player in the league. It all depends on what you've done for me lately."

The Cowboys=reality show. Just NAILED IT. I loved that.

This board software is really retarded btw. Qoute is a pain in the ass. Links are a pain in the ass.

You're not a turtle

‘(Expletive) Dave Samson,’ then don’t say anything at all.
So I’m not going to say anything at all.

I was hoping for pics

I’m leaving this fanpost very disappointed.

I need to think something lasts forever, and it might as well be that state of being that is a game; it might as well be that, in a green field, in the sun.

But

If (for all) NFL = reality,
^ Cowboys are part of NFL
then Cowboys = reality

Haven’t you ever taken logic!?

I thought you were going to say...

He said it was the OC ’s fault they/him sucked this year.

Where is Benji Gil when you need him.

by rangerknight on Jan 22, 2009 6:25 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Nope

But he did say him and JG had a meeting after that Giants game (the infamous exposed thing), and that they’re going to do some things he’s excited about next year based on that talk.

I bet Romo would be a pretty good OC..maybe. Peyton Manning is probably one of the best OC’s in the league realistically, LOL.

by Sharky on Jan 22, 2009 6:28 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

I dont think Romo ..

would be a good OC at least not yet. Maybe after 5-10 years in the league. He just doesnt make the best decisions all the time..

Where is Benji Gil when you need him.

Reality show?

And now this.

The first time Michael Irvin watched “American Idol,” he loved the concept of giving undiscovered singers the chance to become stars. Now Irvin is doing the same for NFL wannabes.
The Hall of Fame receiver is launching a reality TV show in which 12 “football neophytes” will compete for an impressive grand prize: a spot on the Dallas Cowboys’ training camp roster.

is that really what this team needs??

more media coverage?? I swear, at times, it seems all that Jerry cares about is money. Don’t get me wrong. I know he wants to win and will do all that it takes, but there are times when he does a good job hiding it.

Any news is good news

That’s Jerry’s motto.

How many..

would rather have Big Bill back now ? I would. Wade is def not head coach material.

Bill is too interested in winning football

that’s not what the Cowboys need.

winning with his guys and doing things his way.

I'm not sure

that doing thing with Jerry’s guy and doing things Jerry’s way is going to result in a lot of winning football.

I think the Cowboy's window of winning despite Jerry is still open

For at least 1 more year.

eli wasn't coming back?

not sure about that one tony. but i agree with most of what you said.

They may have started looking for their future QB elsewhere...

Go look at the Buffalo v Giants game, week 17, 2007.

I don't think they would have cut him

But he would have been in his 4th season in the league while never reaching anything close to the team’s expectations for him. The Giants probably would have wanted to start going down a different path and not plan on having Eli be at the core of the team anymore.

By 2028, Mark Teixeira will be in the HOF.
