Rangers Team Win Values

I didn’t know that we were that low in stranding runners, but now that I think back on the season, there were a lot of times when we made calls to the bullpen and sure enough, two or three pitches later runs would score. 13% below average with runners in scoring position is amazing.

It does fit my feeling

that the Rangers were not only bad, they were also unlucky. Factor in the ridiculous amount of injuries they had last year, and 79 wins starts to seem like more of an achievement.

If the rotation stays healthy, not only will the starters be much better (with better performance and fewer rushed youngsters making emergency starts), but so will the bullpen with less usage. I am confident the Rangers team ERA can be about a half run lower simply with better health.
