I didn't realize Dickerson had made it into the HoF...
Found this too late to join, but Gregg, Doak, Berry and Hunt were my guesses off the top… James was pretty good at SMU but never really could have been considered “elite” in the pros… Excellent announcer, tho…
I might have tho’t of Eric … if he hadn’t been nominated for the Idiots’ HoF…
PacMan would be first ballot there… TO, too.
If at first you don't succeed, try the outfield! -- Ed
Remember what a crappy sideline
reporter Eric Dickerson was?
He couldn’t speak on camera plus he had no juggage.
"Dying ain't hard. It's living that's hard."
Craig James
sounds like douche nozzle surpreme
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say
Eric Dickerson.
"Come on man you have to admit the average guy in a baseball clubhouse...... is relatively a douchebag." BGL.
Doak Walker
Eric Dickerson, Don Meredith, Jerry Levias, Kyle Rote
"Dying ain't hard. It's living that's hard."
I know Meredith isn't in.
I’m having more trouble with this than I thought I would. I didn’t even think of Walker.
Bobby Layne = UT

Doak Walker
Eric Dickerson
Craig James

That’s all I got. And I don’t think Craig James is in the Hall of Fame, either.

craig james
I’m 99.999% sure he’s not a hall of famer.
"I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it." - Mitch Hedberg
heh
Yeah, I think you’re right. He was a great running back, though.

"He was a great running back, though."
You have low standards for the word great.
Who do you think was “greater”: Bobby Humphrey or Craig James?
I guess you heard Fat Joe left Atlantic.

Ray
Eric Dickerson
Doak Walker
Raymond Berry?
Maude Lebowski: Lord. You can imagine where it goes from here.
The Dude: He fixes the cable?
Jeryl Sasser?
"Was this really necsarry?" - cowpoke/hurler hurley
I don't think so
But Kato Armostrong and Todd Alexander should get consideration from the veteran’s committee.
Purgatory's kind of like the in-betweeny one. You weren't really shit, but you weren't all that great either. Like Tottenham.
What about Ollie Hoops?
Greatest basketball name ever.
"Dying ain't hard. It's living that's hard."
Agreed
But runner-up has to go to God Shamgod
Purgatory's kind of like the in-betweeny one. You weren't really shit, but you weren't all that great either. Like Tottenham.
Willie Dingle
can’t be too far down the list.
"Dying ain't hard. It's living that's hard."
Where is Sasser now?
Seems like he’d be the perfect candidate for a successful Slamball career

According to wikipedia
His last game was in the Israeli league back in 2005, but he was released after 2 games….
In reference to how good the Steelers have been in their history: "No one is even close to them."- Steal Home
Did he replace Jimmy King as "Mavs Man"?
"Dying ain't hard. It's living that's hard."
Jimmy King of the Fab 5?
Wow, I didn’t know that.
I guess you heard Fat Joe left Atlantic.

I always assumed
it was Tony Dumas.
Have you ever seen Mavs Man and Tony Dumas in the same room together? Didn’t think so.

Really?
The guy from the Miracle on Ice?

I'm not ENTIRELY certain he played football there...

I've got 4
Doak Walker, Eric Dickerson, Raymond Berry, and the late great Lamar Hunt.
No idea on the 5th… but it’s not James, Meredith, or Bobby Layne!
I guess you heard Fat Joe left Atlantic.
the 5th if your 4 are all correct would be forresst gregg which i completely forgot until someone else mentioned him

And I would actually put Gregg ahead of all of them.
’Course, evaluating football is 1 millionth as scientific as baseball.
i know a few
Don Mcelhenny
Eric Dickerson
Doak Walker

lets try this
for sure, Dickerson, Gregg, and Walker are in.
My other two guesses would be Raymond Berry – the great Colts WR- and Bob Lilly (those two are probably wrong though)……
In reference to how good the Steelers have been in their history: "No one is even close to them."- Steal Home
Almost
I think Berry is right for sure. Lilly went to TCU.
Hunt is definitley in the HOF and definitely went SMU, but I don’t think he played so I don’t know if that counts.
Purgatory's kind of like the in-betweeny one. You weren't really shit, but you weren't all that great either. Like Tottenham.
Hunt is still an SMU Mustang...
I’ll contend that he meets AJM’s requirements:

I find the TCU players to be easier to remember.
For whatever reason, the Baughs, Lillys and Tomlinsons stand out more.
Lilly = TCU
"Dying ain't hard. It's living that's hard."
5 SMU Players
Eric Dickerson, Doak Walker, Forrest Gregg, Raymond Berry, can’t think of a 5th
SMU has more Pro Football HOFs than
Texas & Oklahoma.

You know, UTA is a credible institution for athletics.

So clearly Jon Daniels wishes to make a splash by signing Sheets on Monday, thus stealing the spotlight away from the Super Bowl.
