Rangers Music
I live out in West Texas and only get to go to a handful of games a year, but when I do, I always try to pay attention to the batter's music as he walks to the plate. I suppose I like to think that their choice help me get to know them a little better. I'd also like to have my own playlist at home so when I watch on TV I can get some stadium atmosphere. I remember that Ian Kinsler listened to Black Betty and MY has used Nirvana. Do any of you regulars know most of the songs that they use? Relief pitcher songs would be cool, too. Also, what song would you come out to?

I've thought about this a lot
I don’t envision myself as a player. Ever. But I always thought it’d be cool for someone to walk out to this.
Come on, what better than a song where the chorus says, “Take me home”?

I agree on Rupe
Definitely supporting him simply because of his song choice.
If I was a hitter, I’d walk out to ZZ Top’s “I’m Bad, I’m Nationwide.”
If I was a closer, I’d use Willie Nelson’s “The Party’s Over.” I don’t know why no one uses that. Is there a better line symbolizing “9th inning time, you don’t stand a chance against me” than “Turn out the lights, the party’s over”?
Keith Law: (1:45 PM ET ) I think Michael Young should shut his mouth and move to third base.

random trivia
Josh Frasier, the bullpen catcher, chose Rupe’s song for him.
The default ringtone on my phone is a song that I discovered through Frasier’s Myspace.
