Scoring Update: Rodney vs. Boomer1
Two of LSB's most prolific posters are engaged in a tight, fight till the death, battle to see which one can get to 20,000 comments first. With the finish line in site it is now time for bets to be placed.
The current line: pick 'em
Current Standings:
Rodney boomer1
18,393 comments 18,091 comments
In a less publisized battle it appears boomer1 will win the LSB mad dash to 1,000 comments containing "lol".
He currently sits at 988 with Rodney trailing with only 727 "lol" comments. Third place is too far back to even be mentioned(iorange555 with around 550). Amazingly "lol" accounts for roughly 5% of their respective comments. More impressive is that added together they have posted 14% of ALL "lol" comments on LSB. Good work gentlemen.
These #'s are indeed unscientific in nature. Different "search" methods may reveal slightly different results.
If you are aware of any other "fascinating" comment revelations or quirks of various posters please post below.

And I've been here about half as long as Rodney and Boomer.
What can I say, I don’t miss many GDT’s.
Hank is 7 runs below a zombie replacement at first base. Do you realize how terrible that is? Zombie’s can’t think, they’re slow, and they’re often ejected from the game for eating opposing baserunners’ brains. - Ben quantifies Hank Blalock
This post reminds me of....

Holy crap, I've got over 2,200 posts and I haven't posted here that long
When you spend time in a few GDTs, the posts add up quicker than you realize.

So funny, so true.
We never saw enough of the great Phil Hartman.
"Dying ain't hard. It's living that's hard."
"Ranger players, especially veterans, weren’t surprised that Daniels couldn’t find a deal"
Rodney has got this one
that 300 comment lead is too much to come back from.
That's why they call them business sox
Wow
I’m UID 28, and I still don’t have 14K.

Interesting
A guy could make a post (and indeed, all of his comments) for the sole purpose of trolling, and yet LSB focused its banning fury on poor little Texas_Dawg.
This blog is strange sometimes.

Personally, I think
the banstick should be unleashed a lot more. Ben should pick someone every week for the remainder of the year to ban.

Texas_Dawg
I supported his ban initially, thinking it would spur someone to use bans more liberally in the future. Fuck me was I wrong there. At least TD would provide surprisingly accurate inside info now and again.

you can continue to hate.....
I choose remember the good times,

It was so sweet how you used to take time away from your WSJ in the mornings to help me with my LSB postings. Without you I’ve resorted to trolldom. Please come back to me…

What we need
is some sort of equivalent to the wOBA, or xFIP, tRA or some such. Not all comments are equal. I have well over 20k plate appearances, some of high quality, some that make me look more like Matt Kata.

So I’m well behind some of these folks. But I probably have more words / post than anyone other than my nemesis spurdynasty.

OT: What does your user name mean?
Also, I wanted the old cowboy hat Ranger logo as my avatar, but you got it first.

name
JB are my first two initials and “I’m a knee” is the pronunciation of my last name.
I always liked the cowboy logo with the goofy western font. Of course, there have been several copy-cats who have used it even though I nabbed it on day 1.
Go Rice Owls!
Interesting note
According to a poster on this site, the R and S in the logo are capitalized because the owner that brought the team from Washington to Texas was Robert Short. Not sure if that is true.

I think the User ID number shows up for people who were already signed up before the site was converted to Version 2.0 – February 2008-ish?
I’m # 607.

They stopping assigning them when they switched to the SBN 2.0 platform
So if you joined after about February or March last year, you won’t have one.

“I love your site. Come check mine out about direct mailing.” Christ 30 of the comments were spam.
Remember Red, hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies.
I average about 3.2 comments per day
The .2 comments are really shitty, the other 3 are just kinda shitty.
