He told me he got that project.
Seeing some of his work, I expect it to be good.
Anyways, Jamey, since you’re usually the barer of prospect news please don’t get me this excited again.
Also, I’ve been meaning to ask you what spring training is like from a fans perspective. Like how much interaction goes on between players and fans, and when is the best time to go to facilities.

Lots here can answer that Q.
The interaction is never better than in Surprise. Best time to interact is 10-11 am, during stretch/BP on the back fields.

I've actually asked that question multiple times
and everyone has told me to ask you.

I'm obviously not Jamey...
…but I did go to Spring Training this year, and plan on going back again this coming year. There is definitely a lot more interaction between players and fans there than during the season. The players are more relaxed and more likely not only to stop for an autograph, but to stop for a chat.
Like Jamey said, get there as early as you can. If you’re going to dork it up, you might as well make a day of it (like I did). The most fascinating stuff happens on the back fields (the first time I ever saw Elvis Andrus was on the back fields in March, and he took about 100 consecutive backhanded grounders).
Then, grab a beer and a lawn seat and enjoy perhaps my favorite part of being a baseball fan.

So many people will be disappointed when clicking on this thread =p
But I’m glad you like where its going and certainly hope everyone else does when the book comes out.
It should be a good place for a particular players autograph if nothing else.
the preceding post was a great success.

I'm guessing Perez.
If I’m right, I win a copy of the 2010 bound edition, correct?

Jamey,
Aren’t we usually getting more winter league updates during this time of year, or is it still too early? It is easy to follow the AFL, but I haven’t heard a word about the LA leagues. Is anyone following our expatriate winter leaguers or do we have to mine through all the rosters on our own.

If you're on the email list
You got a rundown of the AFL and all the Latin leagues from me last Friday. Ought to have another tomorrow.

And no obviously it wasn’t me. I’ve never rec’d a post by or about me.

Hell...
if Sharky’s post can get a rec, then this deserves at least 2.

Honestly
because this got a rec, I was forced to rec Sharky’s posts. This is easily the most useless fanpost in quite a while, and should be at least a 5 minute major in the penalty box.

I reduce the penalty to two minutes, and declare time served and release.
Yes, I have that power.

At least post a copy of the cover
to remove some of the complete uselessness of the post.

Well, good to know my actual project posts are only mostly useless
Cover’s not quite done yet, Jamey just liked the primary artwork i finished for it. No point in putting it in here days later, but soon enough.
I’m no mind reader, but I’m guessing he assumed since this is sadly one of the few places on Earth anyone would recognize “DSheppard” and a primary target for his book that at least a few people might like the tidbit. Certainly not the greatest fanpost ever, but lighten up a bit. Its October 23rd on a Rangers blog.
p.s. got any new Conan clips for me Cahill?
the preceding post was a great success.

i thought you were going to tell us a trade was about to happen
to watch out for something in the next few days…but not let us know the players involved.
