Towers Linked to Rangers if Gilbert New Owner

So MLBTR has a link to an Olney article which states, "rival executives are already speculating about Kevin Towers' possible connection to the Texas Rangers if -- and it's a big if -- Dennis Gilbert's group wins the bidding for the team." Anybody have access to ESPN Insider to see what else is being said?

get killed by the SD owners divorce? He was planning to run the team at one budget, then the budget got thrashed?

KLaw went on a Toronto radio station, and Drunk Jays Fan has a transcript. Here is what KLaw had to say about Towers:

You cannot be a gunslinger, which is the term we’re hearing about Kevin Towers in San Diego, who was let go because the new owner said, ‘Kevin is too much of a gunslinger, I want process.’
