the real Sharky trolling days were back when the ESPN board was the main meeting place. I think we all enjoyed the ESPN days.

Sharky has paid his dues, and gets a free pass for being so consistent. Josey is on the right path to being remembered fondly. He just needs to go away for a while first.

but after a while it gets old. Especially when said troll has only 3 or 4 responses to everything discussed. If his material was original that would be another story, but it seems like I read the same thread over and over again once he takes part in it.

is that the place will be boring otherwise. I can think of a good few times I’ve argued with other posters without either of us being trolls. There are enough differing opinions here that we don’t need trolls to keep things interesting.

but Josey doesn’t really bother me, nor do I really understand the Josey thread…I mean you don’t ask for one of Tampa’s high end arms, but I wouldn’t trade Cruz for Crawford either.

the discussions in threads get polluted with this, and there is a time when things get worn out and have to end. It is time for it to end.

It is amazing that Josey continues to take up so much of people’s time and thought. The truly amazing I see is that people continue to fight and argue with Josey long after Josey became a common bloghold name (bloghold = my interwebs term synonymn for household). Posters around here are cleary willing to devote time and attention to Josey and I believe they on some level enjoy it.

What truly annoys me is the point that NothinG makes. It is the same repetitive stuff over and over. It clogs up the message board and makes me scroll through several series of tired argument and personal attacks.

The additional time it takes me to find relevent and insightful user comments is a nuisance and is caused by both the troll and the troll baiters. If anything, those who engage in these never-ending arguments are more to blame than Josey himself. I completely understand why AJM went through the trouble of posting a thread dedicated to stopping the troll baiting. I see it as harmful to this blog, much more harmful than someone with a negative attitude, a clear misunderstanding for the formation fo a logical argument, and a multitude of time.

I know it has been said before but as BigGuns showed “Don’t feed the troll.” You’re only hurting yourselves.

I pretty much just look for contradictions, point it out and move on. However, my future comments to him will be “Remember that time Will Carroll called you dumb? I sure do.”

I prefer the unpredictable kind like Jayslick who will be fine and then completely freak out on Adam for being a divorce lawyer or make a post celebrating the death of whichever right-winger died unexpectedly.

When I see a post from Josey, I know it’s a post from him before I even get to the bottom.

It’s trite, boring shit that he’s probably just copy/pasting from his previous posts.

Josey’s shtick is already and established inside joke at LSB, one of the great things that we can all joke about together. Reading it every day can get old and tired, sure, but that’s what the “Z” button and ab03’s troll script are for.

People just need to stop replying to him and inundating the morning threads with subthreads devoted to his shtick and the funny factor would completely outweigh the frustration-from-talking-to-a-wall factor. Other than that, I’d much rather deal with the Josey we all know and love than some other random asshole like TexasDawg or steal home.
