is one of those guys who it seems like we’ve been waiting for to become really good for about ten years now. I’m surprised that he’s still arbitration eligible; seems like he’s been around forever.

Wasn't he drafted pretty high and then didn't sign or something?
I’m pretty sure the hubub over that is what got his name in my mind fast back in the day and makes it seem like he’s been around forever just cause I’ve been aware of him for so long.
Okay… looked it up and yah he was the 31st overall pick in 2000 by the Twins and didn’t come to terms.
