Mavs GDT 11/20/09--11/24/09
Golden State at Dallas
- Tim Thomas is underrated. If you think he can't make an impact on this team when healthy, you are dead wrong.
- I'm not sure Drew Gooden has the mentality to consistently be the type of player he could be good at being, but he will flash it now and then.
- Roddy B continues to wow me with the way he moves with the basketball in his hands. He's so raw, yet, he seems to have an innate ability to get into the lane and break down a defense, rarely looking out of control to do so. Oh, and his touch is oh so soft.

Pluckers in Arlington
Just watched the game there — love that place. Highly recommend it if you’ve never been to the Austin area locations.

I don't think so
shes got dark hair but she only talks to her tables alot if they are cool and probably not consider it talking to death. Could be though

Isn't it just like a Buffalo Wild Wings though?
I’m not a real wing-enthusiast, but I’ve been in both places and it seems like the same set-up
by oc on Nov 21, 2009 1:24 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
yeah basically the same
Pluckers does have some pretty good drink specials and from what ive heard pretty damn good wings. Im not a wing guy so I can’t speak from firsthand experience.

Well, wing sizes vary from place to place
And, yes, the sauce on the wing, you can taste the difference.

Pluckers is much much better than BWW
It’s the same set up basically yeah, but the food is much better at Pluckers.

Nate Robinson is a moron
The New York guard, for whatever reason, turns and purposely heaves a 30-foot shot at the wrong basket. Goes in. Cue hilarity and Mike D’Antoni mustache rage.
Shot didn’t count, but what an idiotic play.

Am I expecting too much of Brandon Roy?
Maybe it’s because I wasn’t around to start him for his 42-point game against Houston, but so far this season he’s been so…solidly unspectacular. Like, moe than usual. It doesn’t even feel like he’s dropping his typical efficient 22/5/6 with a steal and a three while shooting close to 50%.
Do I hit the panic button because of how the rest of the Blazers seem to have improved, and try to deal him off for a post scorer or a three-point shooter (getting burned badly in FG%, 3PTM and PTS?) I’d target Al Horford and Josh Smith, but they’re owned by league leaders and I’d probably have to overpay to get them.
Also: thoughts on Marion and Brand: do I look to get them off as well? Brand’s improved somewhat but I’m not sure about Marion, even when he does come back from his ankle sprain. Then there’s Hedo…don’t go there.
Remember to retire Fin's number, Mark.

Eww.
Yeah, I bailed on Roy maybe too early, but I’m fine with the results.
He was my #1 pick and I wasn’t happy with the blandness.
by brettgardner on Nov 21, 2009 11:24 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Picking at #12 and #13 sucks.
There isn’t really anyone interesting to pick if a guy like Bosh hasn’t dropped a little. Even someone like KG is “ordinary” these days.

Gilbert Arenas basically called out Caron Butler as a source of the team’s discord on Monday.
“Most of us feel we’re confident in each other on the floor and there are a few that don’t,” said Arenas. “For the most part, we all get along. There are, what, 15 players on the team? Fourteen do.” It seems Arenas (and Brendan Haywood, and possibly others) has taken issue with Butler passing up open shots but not getting many assists. Butler just had an MRI on his swollen right foot and suddenly he has a lot on his plate.
Source: Washington Times
Caron Butler is second only to Monta Ellis of players I think would be great 2nd options next to Dirk.

by tyd3311 on Nov 25, 2009 9:17 AM CST reply actions 0 recs
Yeah
It really makes you wonder why, in a draft absolutely loaded with point guards, they decided to take a project center at #2. I mean, they could have even slightly maneuvered that second pick to get Taj Gibson. Just horrible decisions.
They have two guys who’ll be starters when they’re good: Gasol and Gay. Mayo will be shipped off probably, and Randolph is doing well but can’t be there when they expect to contend. Conley is a backup.
