their ability to win games with a score typical in a baseaball game

I think he isn't partial to any football team.
If you want direct answer.
I’m a casual Titans fans, but I’m really not all that into football. I don’t even have the game on.

i know what he's saying
He thinks Vince is terrible. And it seems he has to be either terrible or awesome, there is not in between with Vince.
If Vince has a solid game and the Titans are competitive
Can we just say that Vince Young is a decent NFL quarterback?
Try and keep up,
Pops Barajas, sideshow Sammy, Vince Young, these are Adam’s whipping boys.
Also, all DFW owners suck ass and are running their teams into the ground.

Well
He was a favorite of mine because he’s a very good offensive and defensive player at a position that has been a perennial weakness for the team, particularly in this decade, and isn’t someone who would break the bank.
The idea that he wouldn’t be a difference maker or a significant addition to the team suggests that you are either underrating him, or overrating the collection of junk we’ve run out in CF most of the 21st century.

right
because a guy who is in line for the AD job at UT would take the ND job.
There are many reasons Stoops could leave for ND. He’s a midwestern guy. He’s Catholic. He’s tired of OU fans always on his ass. He might be looking for a change. That’s why I asked about Stoops. There’s no reason for Mack to leave.

Mario Williams is worthless
All these years of hearing how brilliant the Texans are for passing on VY and taking Williams, it’s all baloney. No matter how good a DL is, even a only potentially interesting (not even good) QB like VY is automatically 10X more valuable imo. Even if he sucks for his entire career, who cares, just the CHANCE he could be something is worth 20X boring Mario Williamses. FACT.
What's wrong with Mario?
He’s just an All-Pro defensive end. I think that warrants a #1, at least until VY becomes, y’know, a consistent game-changing Pro Bowler. He’s already got the game-changing ability, but I dunno…

Well
With 5 losses now, and Indy visiting next week (although thats actually the type of game I could see the Texans winning) with a likely 6th, in the competitive AFC, that’s probably about it for the Texans playoff hopes. So it looks like that will be 8 seasons and no playoffs now for the Texans.
Clearly, what the Texans need is a strong owner who wont accept losing like Jerry Jones, or even one like Bud Adams who will make tough decisions such as to start Vince Young for the good of the franchise, if they ever plan to escape their perennial mediocrity.

The great Jimmy Johnson was on mike and mike this morning
About the only interesting thing he had to say about the Cowboys imo, was that the Cowboys dont have a receiver that teams double cover. Teams just single our guys which of course, allows them a lot of other good things on defense.
Another thing that keeps sticking with me is something Colin Cowherd said a few weeks ago. He said the one thing an NFL QB has to be is accurate. And that when Romo throws, he doesn’t know where it’s going.
Our wagon is obviously hitched to Romo this year so I hope that’s not true, but it keeps rearing it’s head in my brain…
Cowherd is a douche

I have a feeling he
repeated his point a few times, then said “look,” then tried to make a comparison between NFL QB accuracy and the jobs of regular joes and then his job. Then he illustrated how he knows he’s right about it because in the past he knew a, b, and c were going to happen because of the same obvious indicator, and they did.

I was very worried when they let him go that this would be the result. Even though he wasn’t near the WR he once was he still demanded the double. It allowed Witten and others to roam free. I just didn’t believe in Roy.

The schedule
get’s brutal after Thursday. They may be in first now but if they continue to play like they have the past two weeks they won’t be in first for long. The Giants are coming out of their slumber. Watch out.
Really?
What makes you think they are coming out of their slumber?
It took OT to beat Atlanta at home.
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
Yeah its different playing NY than Carolina
Even NY on a losing streak is much tougher than Carolina. That game showed alot about Atlanta. It also didn’t help losing Turner early on
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
The Giants four losses
Are:
@ NO
AZ at home
@ Philly
SD at home
Much like Dallas they had to win ugly this week. I just think they hit a tough patch in the schedule and are ready to rally. Plus they get a struggling (maybe not by then though) Dallas team at home in a week which should be for the division lead. They scare me. Philly looks done.
Combine that with the cowboys playing a pretty brutal December (the most winnable game is @ Washington which is always tough) and I’m very worried about the division. At 7-3 the Cowboys should still make the playoffs.
Ill give them the two road losses
but losing at home to two west coats teams is inexcusable. Especially the way they lost to the Chargers letting Rivers dice them up on a 2 minute drill drive and then following it up AFTER THEIR BYE WEEK with that effort against the Falcons and I can’t see them being the sleeping giant thats been awoken that you say they are.
if they were playing great on one side of the ball like the Cowboys are I could see it. But they aren’t. Alot is going to have to click for them to be the team you are saying they are.
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
all four of those teams
are better than the cowboys.
check that
NO is the only of those 4 you can say is definitively better than Dallas, right now. The other 3, I don’t think you can say either way.
I dont think it makes a difference
Obviously Romo and the offense need to get back to what they were, but otherwise, this D is finally starting to show all the potential that they have had. I don’t see how going 2-3 over the last 5 games isnt likely. I mean all of them outside of New Orleans are winnable. Romo always seems to play well in NY and that team isn;t really coming out of their slumber. The Redskins are what they are: a mediocre team at best. San Diego’s good so I’ll call that one a push. And the Eagles at home to end the season? One word: Revenge. I think this group has way too much pride to let the Eagles do what they did to them again. Even New Orleans is possible, esp if NE beats them this week.

Yep
Looking at the last 5 games, outside Wash I dont see one the Cowboys will be clear favorites (more than ~3) in, but I dont really see one we’ll be huge dogs in either. Maybe +7 at NO.
But for whatever reason I feel like we have a significant chance to win that game too, maybe I’m delusional.
Well anyway, it will be nice to play some tough teams. You dont get any credibility by beating patsies. I have a feeling we’ll do better than expected. Take care of Oakland and of course later Wash and we’ll essentially be playing with house money (in that one more win will probably lock up playoffs and 9-7 could still get it done) which makes it all a lot easier.
Ignoring the division route, The 4th place WC team (after NYG, Phil, GB at 6-4) is Atl, they’re 5-5. And we have the tie breaker on Atl, so we esssentially have a 3 game lead on them. So rather than the pack earlier, our potential WC competition is at most 3 teams now. Everybody else in the NFC WC has 6 losses. So I mean if it should come to the WC we look pretty good there.
maybe I’m delusional.

Preach Deion!
“Vince Young is a winner,” Sanders said. “Some of those statistics we throw out to validate a point in the NFL. They’re just ludicrous. … He wins.”
I think Luke French has a lot of potential. TORP potential.-Dstar
