it seems a little odd to me
that we aren’t making these sorts of signings ourselves. The Royals have signed a number of these types already this offseason, and our triple A depth last year has mostly left via free agency.
I am a little worried that we don’t even have the money to sign these types right now. We are usually much more active during this time. Ugh.

Meh
There are plenty of these spares still out there.

maybe
but this is the sort of depth a team has to have in AAA. I’d like to see a decent emergency catcher and middle infield brought in to play in OKC because I could see those guys spending some time on the ML roster at some point next year.
Looking at the OKC stat sheet from last year, we have a lot of innings and ABs to fill.

Yeah...
but as BigSteve said, we have a lot of young players to promote as well.
There’s plenty of time to fill those holes (if there are any) closer to ST. I wouldn’t worry about it this early in the offseason.

Just thinking about that...
What could the OKC rotation look like to start the year?
Hurley, Harrison, Moscoso, Kiker, and Poveda?
Who am I forgetting?

Beavan maybe
I doubt Hurley is ready by the start of the season, probably sometime in May.

Yeah...
Hurley is a big question mark.
I’m not sure Beavan got enough innings at Frisco last year though. Do you think they would promote him to OKC to start the year? Seems a little fast to me.

Yeah it does
Probably a guy like Ballard starts the season in the roto.

Our AA depth will be moving up to AAA
And with all the SP prospects I would imagine some guys get moved to the pen which fills in the rest of the spots
