NFL 11/29 thread
Texans bwahaha. Six losses, no playoffs for the 8th consecutive season.. Need to hire Jerry Jones to consult.
Just kidding, need to fire Frank Bush really. Enjoy your suckball season Texans fans!
Atl and Phil won, but damn, barely over Wash and Tampa at home? Those teams look like crap. Then again the NFL changes so much week to week who knows what it means. But at least right now those teams look sucky, which is more good news for the Cowboys. But I just wonder if Phil and Atl fans bitch and moan about these games like Cowboys fans do? The fact is in the NFL, you just need to win, look pretty next week. The Cowboys would be screwed without those "ugly" 7-6 >Wash and 26-20> KC wins, that everybody bitched about at the time.
Minnesota looks real strong, we're doubtful to get by them in the playoffs one would assume.
Cant wait for the monday night game, great one.
Fascinating lines this week, NO by 2 over NE, and I really want see the Dallas-NYG line, what will it be? I dunno. I'm guessing in a +/-3 points range either way, but interested to see the favorite.

Vince!
99 yard drive finished off with an incredible TD pass with zeros on the clock.
Favorite bumper sticker of all time, seen on a VW bus:
"Gas, Grass, or Ass. Nobody rides for free"
Yeah, that was awesome
18 plays on that 99 yd drive.
27-43, 387 yds on the day.

Kurt Warner is not a douche
A baseball game is simply a nervous breakdown divided into nine innings.
more of a dork than a douche
But he’s a hall of famer on the field.
Favorite bumper sticker of all time, seen on a VW bus:
"Gas, Grass, or Ass. Nobody rides for free"
I could settle for dork not douche
That probably is a more apt description.

No, he really isn't
at least from what I’ve seen. And, I have met him and seen him up close when I worked at a camp with disabled children. he would come and spend time, not only with his son, but with all the children. I thought that was what a role model should look like. There were no high-profile cameras or news agencies around, and that is not reported. You can make your own assumptions based on a facial expression, but what I’ve seen of the man, he is far from a douche.
A baseball game is simply a nervous breakdown divided into nine innings.
I've some other people say he is very approachable and not rude.

I like how ever since his remergance, the best player on the Titans
gets less noticed. Chris Johnson is a mothafucking beast.

I'm trying to think
Of comparable players. None come to mind. The thing is, for some players the speed will inexplicable fade quickly after they get hit for several seasons in a row, and once Johnson loses that he will become an ordinary, shifty back (i.e. Ahmad Bradshaw) and obviously loses a lot of value because he can’t bowl people over like AP or Steven Jackson.
At his rate of carries, which I haven't looked up ..
I’ve heard a theory that Fisher has been running the hell out of him to keep his job, which makes sense. Then we see Vince back as starter, so that Fisher sinks or swims with Vince [per NFL bullshit.]
The reason you can’t think of a comparable player, is because players that talented who are overused either get injured or are simply not as effective over a career.
Take one look at Marion Barber’s carries this year — both in number and in degree of contact — compared to years past.
Deion called these “business decisions.”

actually he isn't carrying the ball that much 20 or so carries this week 18
18 carries 154 yards the thing with johnson is his yards per carry is way up
Nobody punished like Earl and No one was nastier than Ryan
I think he only gets around 18-20 carries a game
He splits with White. That’s crazy because, without looking, his YPG is probably god-like.
I do agree with Conjuction, but not just for his declination of speed (which is gonna happen, but because it’s true that most backs have a short shelf life.

No NFL running back lasts
I was just looking at LT (Tomlinson’s) stats recently thinking about that. That guy fell off a cliff. You can draw a direct line from his best 1800 yard season, and his yards and yards per carry have dropped steadily and precipitously since.
LT is barely 30. A interesting guy is Ricky Williams, he’s having a great year and is 32, which is kind of unheard of. of course he had the years off.
I guess Emmitt was strong there, he was good for a long time. Although really, I didn’t care for what I saw from him when he had bad OC’s. He tended to give up when he wasn’t getting anywhere. Whereas under Norv, he looked like a guy who would never give up.
He fumbles too much.
Not that he’s not a great back, but I think this season Johnson has put himself slightly ahead.

the recruiting will stay there, but I want a coach that can win a BCS game.
Maybe Clausen will stay to play for Bob.

yeah right. That guy is the ultimate tool and would get absolutely overwhelmed at OU.
Patterson could be a good fit at OU.

Per cbssportsline.com
OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops says he fully intends to be at Oklahoma “hopefully for a good while” amid rumors that he could be a candidate for the Notre Dame job.
Speaking to reporters Monday, Stoops said: “I’m going to be at Oklahoma next year, so I can’t be at two places at once.”
Notre Dame fired coach Charlie Weis on Monday. Stoops is coming off the worst regular season in his 11 years with the Sooners, losing five games for the first time. He has led Oklahoma to seven BCS games and one national championship.
He is under contract with the Sooners through 2015.
There are going to be rumors all over the place until ND hires someone. If it is Bob Stoops so be it the Sooners will find another coach. I’m sure there will be rioting on 7th st. in Austin though.

I am loving this NO/NE game
Brady looked so pissed from the get go, before anything bad happened. I havent seen the Pats this year but I could tell then theyve been sucking, just from the look on Brady’s face.
Anyways Brady has been getting the shit knocked out of him. Love it. Also this will shove it in the face of all the AFC biased power rankings.
I have to admit though, NO has been getting away with blatant pass interference in the first half.
Sean Payton..the one that got away? Love to see that pro set running game too, as opposed to all Garretts gay delayed crap.
The Saints
look very dangerous right now.

looking to make a comment about the Patriots in my original comment.
My point is NO is looking like the best team in the league.

They are close but the
Saints are easy to root for. The Vikings have too much doucheyness on that team to like/to root for.

The thing is
The only times NO’s offense has looked fallible this year was when Brees threw picks. Our secondary is awful at creating turnovers, as solid as they are in coverage.
