He already said that he's not coming here.

Thank god

Why?

His price will undoubtedly be lower now, and he’s still one of the best pitchers in baseball. It’s not a good thing that he refuses to come here.

I don't want to give up any of our top guys for a pitcher that will only be here one season

i understand your sentiments

but having an ace like Halladay will surely help our chances of winning, and if the package is modeled after what the Phillies gave up for 1.5 years of Cliff Lee, then I don’t think the price would be too unreasonable. I’m interested to see what it would take and if we don’t kick the tires on it, I would be pretty upset. Also, we would get 1 year of an ace like Halladay and we would garner 2 1st rounders the next year to somewhat help restock our system. We have a deep system and we have a chance to start winning next year. Of course, I don’t want to sell the entire farm to get Halladay, and I don’t think the new GM will be as unreasonable as JP. Whatever we were offering last summer, we should offer less as Halladay’s value is less.

A baseball game is simply a nervous breakdown divided into nine innings.

Boston should trade for him.

Or the Twins.
