Complete bullshit
Would be nice if you could have instant replay for penalties at least
I think Luke French has a lot of potential. TORP potential.-Dstar
I had just put up the stream hoping to see an exciting finish to the game ...
when that hideous dive was rewarded with a PK. I really didn’t feel like watching the rest of the game after that. What a gift.
N'Gog
Just saw it, and yeah, that was definitely a dive.

EPL question for you afficionados
After the PK call, Carsley sought out N’Gog in order to ‘chide’ him about the dive. The referee gave Carsley a yellow card but also gave N’Gog a yellow for no apparent reason, unless being verbally berated by a bald man is card-worthy.
My question is … do yellow cards sometimes get erased by the League after an appeal/review process determines it wasn’t deserved? Sorta like the way the NBA sometimes upgrades/downgrades flagrant fouls so guys don’t unfairly suffer from suspension points they don’t deserve.
No.
Referee’s decisions are pretty much final.
I’m still fucking livid at UEFA for not forgiving Fletcher’s retarded card before last year’s CL final.
Also: Fuck Tom Ovrebo.

If Brad Pitt is playing Beane who do you want playing you?
JD: Eddie Guardado.

Embarrassing.
Hope Gerrard “has a word with him” like he said he would if there was any diving going on by Liverpool players.
Hell of a game though.
Liverpool is so dominant
it’s almost laughable. It’s a shame that the game had to be marred by the one play because two of the goals were spectacular.

Liverpool had 74% possession against Fulham and lost 3-1
There’s no cutting edge there. They desperately need Aquilani, Gerrard and Torres to be fit.
Did you see the completed passes stat?
I thought that was funny. It had to end up something like 500-100.
I’m looking forward to Liverpool-Man City in twelve days. While Liverpool seems injury ridden right now, those three should be on their way back, while the intl break will create its usual ripple of newly injured international stars, especially with these European ties.

A big factor will be how long Riera and more importantly Benayoun are out for.
Although if Torres and Gerrard are fully healthy I’d probably pick Liverpool regardless.
Aquilani sighting!
I’m following the match up here at work. I’ll be watching it when I get home- just mystified that we have 35 shots, nearly 80% of the possession, and yet it’s a 2-2 tie currently.
Looking very forward to seeing the Aquaman in action!

Man City documentary
Found this at a ManCity blog – LINK. 6 parts – 10 mins each.
It’s a behind-the-scenes peek from 1980’s era English league. Held my interest at least.
For RCCook – watch the first part at least – features the Sounas/Dalgleish-led Liverpool team.
