Whenever JD makes it back into town sometime tomorrow.

"Blister please, with those wings in your spine.

Breaks out Snoopy Dance.

It’s a good night to raise a drink or three in honor of JD.

by Hull Fan on Dec 10, 2009 3:49 PM CST reply actions

Why?

Losing our most consistent inning-eating starter for two oft-injured pitchers that may pitch few, if any, innings of meaningful production. I don’t understand why you people all assume the most improbable situation, namely that Harden will not be injured for the first time in a long time and also return to top-form, rather than the likely result that he will be a $7mil waste.
Some fans will just believe anything dished out by the Rangers PR machine.

by Clueless on Dec 10, 2009 4:15 PM CST up reply actions

The fact is, Mr. Negativity, that we weren't getting to the freaking playoffs with Millwood as our #1.

With Harden (who is a LEGIT #1 if healthy [the constant qualifier, but can’t you say the same about anyone, including Millwood?]), we at least have a shot. And someone you can feel good about sending our for a game 1.

by jam0152 on Dec 10, 2009 4:17 PM CST up reply actions   1 recs

Oh good lord

120 innings, which is short of what’s he’s pitched the last two years is far superior to Millwood’s crap for 190 innings and that’ assuming Millwood pitches that many innings again this next year. He’s not getting younger and he’s certainly not getting better.

I’d rather see those innings go to guys like Harrison, McCarthy, Nippert, Moscoso, plus additional innings from Holland, Feliz and Hunter.

Why is it hard to understand, less of something better is superior to more of mediocre.

How'd you know it was a twitter link

I got suckered (for the like 3rd time in a week)

by BuckyB on Dec 10, 2009 3:54 PM CST up reply actions

In Mozilla and I assume most web browsers

if you put your cursor over the link it will show up on the bottom part of the page. (I can’t remember the technical term for that spot but) it’s where it tells you that the browser is working to load the page and shows its progress.

twitter was part of the address so it was fairly obvious as to the source.

Josey is crying in his beer.

He would have had a field day if Harden failed his physical after Sheets failure last year.

I wanted to say MH too, but seeing how well he performed last year, I’d laugh if they signed him to a lucrative contract.
