Per Evan Grant andT.R. Sullivan Tom Hicks has supposedly selected the Chuck Greenberg/Nolan Ryan group to purchase the Texas Rangers, meaning that Greenberg's group will now have a period of exclusive negotiating rights with Hicks.
This isn't over, but it looks like Greenberg's group should end up with the team.
