Its time to vote for the number 20 prospect in the Rangers system. If there is someone you want added to the list, please say so in the comments.
Also, I'm thinking of removing names that haven't received any votes or haven't been requested to keep for the next poll in the comments. If you guys don't want me to do this, just say so in the comments and I'll keep everyone in the poll.

going with Velazquez here
but Escobar or Boscan are my next ones. Ben Snyder has the chance to be a MLer this year as a LOOGY and should definitely get consideration, but I have a hard time voting for him because we may ship him back to the Giants after ST.

Hmm...
Boscan here for me.
It’s almost to the point where I just close my eyes and point to a name to vote for though.

Easy Eddy Escobar.
Kid handled his shit last year in the AZL as a 17 year old:
IP: 47.3
k/9: 9.13
bb/9: 3.04
GB%: 49.4
FB%: 26.9
Plus he allowed all of 1 HR all season.
I know it’s “just the AZRL”, but that’s fuckin’ impressive.
I can definitely see him getting to Hickory at some point this season. He likely won’t start there like Marteen did, but it wouldn’t shock me.
Doesn’t turn 18 until April 22nd.

Could go any number of guys here
Escobar, Velazquez, Boscan, Sardinas.
This whole exercise may look very silly once we actually see Sardinas on the field, but right now just like Profar it’s all hype.

Velazquez
with Escobar close behind.
Pro baseball has always been a dream, so this is pretty freakin’ cool out here. -- Tim Steggall, undrafted Rangers minor leaguer.
should Bianucci be on the list
he is older, but he has performed quite well in his two years in pro ball.

I don't think he belongs in the top 30
He struggled with Ks when he moved up to the Cal League.

you could say the same thing about half of our offensive prospects
that haven’t had the success that Bianucci had

and
I definitely think he is top 40 and should be considered for top 30, which means it would be good for him to be on the list considering this will be 20 and there are 24 more on the list. I think Mendonca has more issues with the bat than Bianucci who did hit 30 HRs last year between A/A+

I like Bianucci a lot
and he’s in my top 50, but not in the top 30. Tons of power. Strong guy. But a few issues with swings and misses and he profiles as a DH.
Can everyone just vote for Hurley now
I’m tired of voting for him

What can we do to convince peeps? Sure, there is a LOT of uncertainty with the shoulder, but if he hadn’t been hurt, he would be a top ten.

that's a big IF
you could use IF with lots of players. IF Thomas Diamond didn’t get hurt would we have released him last year? Hurley’s injury was worse than Diamond’s injury, so like many have said, that is a huge concern. That’s the hand Hurley was dealt and we’ll see if he can come back, but I’m betting he doesn’t return to prior form, especially in 2010.

Well last year's list
had Diamond at 21 and this was after he came back from TJ surgery to get shelled hard and he was 2 years older than Hurley and was beginning to drop as a prospect before the injury. The biggest difference between the two is that Diamond had a certain few posters here who would constantly hype up his amazing stuff after the injury while Hurley lacks that kind of support.

ranking Diamond at 21 last year, in hindsight, was a mistake
I think if we look back on this list next year, Hurley at 21 would be a mistake as well.
