Too much money

For him in my opinion

"He do what he do" - Ron Washington

6M per is not bad value

but it seems a little high with the market, but the phillies don’t need to worry about that. they can just go after their guys.

His WAR over the last three years 3.1, 3.1, and 5.3. Not bad

A baseball game is simply a nervous breakdown divided into nine innings.

Byrd's WAR over the last

3 years: 2.5, 3.5 and 2.7. And he plays all 3 OF positions. Will he get a similar deal?

there haven't been many rumors for Byrd out there

he’s a couple years younger than polanco as well with a little more pop in his bat.

But he's probably still not as good of a player.

Though his value is definitely lessened with a move to 3b from 2b, where he looked like an above average to plus defender.

What do voluntary mean?

Heh...

I just read a fangraphs article about him being likely to be underrated this offseason because he is a good-great defender who had a low BABIP despite all of his other numbers staying constant, making him seem to be declining offensively when he’s not.

If Brad Pitt is playing Beane who do you want playing you?
