Okay everyone
Cue the, “If Beane is getting these guys, they must be good, so why wasn’t Texas in on this?” carping.
Yep

Fox didn't hit that well late in the season
but he scares me a little, would in Seattle too.

He is going to a bigger ballpark in the AL too.

Fox
Yeah, he scares me a little too. Pretty decent player, especially if the A’s are bringing him in to DH.

Do you think the A’s are going to cut ties w/ Cust?

Probably non-tender

If they do, are we interested in him?
Kinda had a shitty 2009, power #‘s went the way of the dodo and he’s never hit for AVG. But damn, those walk rates…

Cust
Yeah, I think the A’s non-tender him.
Or at least that’s what I’m hoping- I have Fox at $3 on one of my fantasy teams.

The team has made it pretty clear...
that they want a RH bat. Whether I agree with that statement or not, they have said it on multiple occasions.

Yeah
And based on our supposed interest in Guerrero and Dye, going right-handed appears to outweigh their desire to acquire quality.
Which is pretty stupid.
Still, I would think we should have some interest if the A’s non-tender Cust.

This matches the
Teahan for Fields and Getz on my couldn’t-give-a-shit-o’meter
That's why they call them business sox
That was at least semi-interesting
Just from the standpoint of “wow, the Sox where really stupid enough to think Mark Teahen is a starting player?”
This is basically a swap of bench players and relief pitchers.
I failed my LSB ethics test.

Jake Fox was getting a stupid ammount of hype for his first ~50 at bats
At least on one of the podcasts I listened to, heh.
But yeah, nothing to worry about here. Not that every trade is aiming to acquire superstars.
the preceding post was a great success.
