I never know what to make of reports like these.

It seems these two teams are a couple of teams looking for power, but I can’t imagine they’re thinking Cruz is worth what the Rangers need to get in return.

Cool

Dear Rays and Reds,

Unless you like him enough to offer up a simply irresistible young arm:

Sincerely,

Everyone but bigsteve

I have no idea what the Reds could offer.

Hellickson and Howell would be too much probably to expect but would be what the Rangers would need.

@jasoncollette RT @jordo2323: Gammons stating that Figgins will be the first to sign on Monday then Burrell for Bradley swap. #mlb #rangers #mariners #rays

I read on MLBTR the Cubs might just turn around and deal Burell...

I’d be in on that. Well, maybe. Dunno what he makes salary wise.

He played 2 games in the OF for the Rays.

I could see them dealing Burrell and then becoming a last second player for Holliday, and I think it would be fine if the Rangers got Burrell rather than Bradley.

If the Rays don’t do this swap, it might make it that much more likely the Rangers can get Bradley for almost nothing, which is fine by me as well.

Jeez
B.J. Upton for Cruz? I mean, I don’t know why either team would want to make that deal, but it looks at least plausible.
I mean, heck, even Matt Joyce for Cruz doesn’t look outrageous. you could argue that Cruz is more of a sure thing, while Joyce has more potential, especially long term being younger and all.
