Jason Botts Update
Our old buddy Jason Botts apparently has quite a fanbase over in Japan, with music videos and stadium chants and everything. The linked videos on the page are pretty hilarious.
Maybe he and Kam Loe can be buddies over there.

That video makes me happy for Jason Botts.

Ah, poor Bottsy
I believed in that guy for so long. Glad he’s having some sort of success over there.
That Gold Glove for Young was the worst thing that could have happened to Texas - now the guy really believes he's good at short. - Keith Law

Creepy......
The whole cult of Botts scares me.
Hopefully though he enjoys his time there and has a long fruitful well paying career there adn maybe in the Majors at some point.
To bad he just didn’t have enough to make it here in the US initially.
Good luck Jahson Bottsu…

But
did he ever get a “real” shot at making the big leagues? ;)

It’s “Je-i-so-n” “Bo-to-su” I think.

Awesome.

So I’m not going to say anything at all.

Yeah
Bottsu was a beast of a human being, pretty imposing in the batters box….a three outcomes type . . . aslo some of the other articles on that blog aren’t half bad . . .

Baseball Is My Boyfriend

Jamey, EMC and I had dinner with him
Last week, a few days before he went back to Japan. He’s having a great time with his experience. As usual, he got off to a slow start last summer after going over, but he heated up big time and helped get the Fighters into the playoffs. They won the first round in a best-of-three series when he hit a two-run homer for the only runs by either team in the second game. I hope he writes a book about his baseball odyssey someday. He’s a helluva storyteller and his experiences in the minors, Puerto Rico, Mexico and now Japan would make an awesome book.
