Steroids and Society!!!
Its amazing the two face of society has about the role in which drugs play in life and baseball. Its funny that we embrace Josh Hamilton and his previous drug use and from what he has battled back from but then how we want blood and *asterik's for steroids in baseball. I think we should put an asterik next to the govenors name of California then. Don't get me wrong I'm happy that we have Hamilton, but if we support ones battle with ILLEGAL DRUGS shouldn't we forgive those that were not breaking any law at the time. I would be interested in what Hamilton thinks about this. Who is to say not everyone was juicing and that all players should be guilty by associations. Why isn't everyone forgiving A-Rod since he says he has quit and current drug test prove it and move on. I am not an A-Rod fan by any means. Plus all it says is that he tested positive. For what? I can remember when Creatine was creating such a big stir. How you could go into GNC and pull right of the counter T-bomb and other andro products which increases testosterone. Which I'm sure would trigger a banned substance. Plus who knows really how many pitchers were on the juice as well. How many more MPH can you get out of a fastball? After all of this said it still comes down to this. If your on the juice or not. YOU STILL HAVE TO HIT A 90-96 MPH FASTBALL. If you think hitting a low ninety fastball is easy I challenge you to go to batting cage and tell me how many you just make contact with out of 20. All in all move on.

Don't want to get too much into this again
but there is a HUGE difference between Performance Enhancing Drugs and what Hamilton was into.
I think most would agree that what Hamilton was into is far worse for society than Bonds. But no one glorified Hamilton’s stats from 5 years ago. No one saw Hamilton and wanted to be him. Hamilton wasn’t hurting baseball, he was hurting himself.
The problem with steroids is that they were/are glorified, either by “Chicks dig the long ball” or the glorification of NFL “athletes” and their inhuman mega-hits on one another. They aren’t comparable.

The whole damn post.
I need to think something lasts forever, and it might as well be that state of being that is a game; it might as well be that, in a green field, in the sun.

You should take this precision-crafted rant over to the DMN blog/thinktank.
I'm Matt mutha-effing Bush, bitches, and mutha-eff East County.
...at the time, I wasn’t being truthful with myself. How could I be truthful with Katie Couric or CBS?

This fanpost reads like one of those reporter commentaries on the radio back in the '50s.
If you imagine Paul Harvey saying this as you read it, it’s a lot more enjoyable.
