The Sklar Brothers suck
I don't understand why the Sklar Brothers are on my TV and show up on the radio. They suck.

They really aren’t funny.
All they seem to do is finish each others sentences.

Standup is Horrible
One brother starts the joke the other one finishes it. Couldn’t get any worse.

I haven't watched "Cheap Seats" in a long time but...
…I always liked it when I did. I haven’t seen them in anything else.
We couldn't have known it at the time but we definitely killed the wrong Belushi brother.
+1
Mystery Science Theater 3000 + sports = genius

Is he still writing that sports column?
Cuz the one column of his I read really knew how to bring the unfunny…

Pretty sure they cut that experiment short
God those were terrible. Now he’s just stinkin’ up the airwaves.
I had a paper route when I was a kid. I was supposed to go to 2,000 houses. Or two dumpsters.
You guys are high
The Sklar Brothers are hilarious. And I usually agree with AJM when it comes to comedy.

we’d be more open to the funny. you’re high

that bit
about the rambling dice clays is pretty funny

Dice Clay = funny
back in 1988 when you were drunk off your ass watching him for the first time on an HBO Comedy Special – lots of shock value.
His comedy didn’t age very well over the years.
Kinison’s bits from the late 80s have aged much better.
"Dying ain't hard. It's living that's hard."
Dice...
you’re right. His stuff was much funnier back in the day. As mentioned above, I do still like his nursery rhymes though.
Kinison’s stuff is and was good. I can still listen to most of that and it will crack me up.

Saying that instead of giving people from Africa food & money (Live Aid projects were all the rage), we should give them advice.
“You see this? It’s fucking sand. Nothing grows in fucking sand. Nothing will ever grow in fucking sand. You need to get the fuck out of here!!!”
Perhaps you had to be there but it was genius back in 1986.
"Dying ain't hard. It's living that's hard."
I got the quotes wrong on the bit but it's still hysterical

Absolute genius confirmed.

Sure
Hickory dickory dock, a mouse was sucking my cock. Cuz she’s a whoer!!
It takes some serious chops to come up with A material like that.

actually it was
hickory dickory dock, some chick was suckin my cock. the clock struck 2 i dropped my goo i dumped the bitch on the next block. END OF STORY. sorry ive just heard it a lot
as for sam kinison, honestly just not a real fan of his, i guess if i had to choose somebody from that era it’d definitely be bill hicks. im just annoyed by kinison’s yelling, although i love lewis black for almost the exact same reason.

I like Bill Hicks
I’ll probably get flamed for this, but I just never felt he was as funny as most people thought he was. I thought what he was saying was funny and a lot of times he would point out very true and ridiculous things, but I just never laughed as hard as I would with some other comedians.

Oh the Cheap Seats guys?
They are TERRIBLE!!!
I gave them a "meh."
Usually, they’re pretty unfunny…but every once in a while, they’ll pull a rabbit out of their hat.

Aikman and Bradshaw?
Please. They are in the same league as Trent Dilfer and Jim McMahon as QBs who were taken to the SB by great Defenses and great Running Games.

I really liked Cheap Seats, but...
it’s very inconsistent, like all those riffing shows. I’m a huge Mystery Science Theater 3000 fan, but sometimes the individual shows don’t work.
My favorite episode is one about the corporate all-stars, where the sponsors of the show they’re riffing have teams entered (and winning) in the contests.
+1 on MST3K
80% of the time, I’m rolling. The other 20%, though, just really miss the mark.
My 2009 New Years Resolution: Quit feeding the trolls.
Yeah.
I think Cheap Seats was hurt a lot by the fact that ESPN Classic cut the show to half an hour. The first season’s hour-long shows always felt much better to me, even though they still cut a good deal of material. And then there was the season two live audience experiment, which was just awful.
All in all, I think they’re funny on Cheap Seats (I honestly can’t see how their material would translate to stand-up), but that show was yanked around by someone at ESPN.
the worst
is when jay mohr guest hosts for jim rome.
i guess they are good friends, otherwise why in the hell would rome let him on???
Omar Vizquel: your starting shortstop for the 2009 AL all-star team.
I saw Jay Mohr 6-7 years ago in Addison.
Pretty, pretty good.
"Dying ain't hard. It's living that's hard."
i remember
a few weeks ago when jim rome was defending mohr because an emailer called him fat.
rome did his thing where he goes on and on and on and milks a subject to death.

I enjoyed their turn on Entourage
But they were funny mainly because they were the vessel by which Ari was hilarious.
Keith Law: (1:45 PM ET ) I think Michael Young should shut his mouth and move to third base.
The madcap freak director of Escobar from Entourage
who would say “Yo, Suit” when talking to Ari is the FBI mole in 24.
Thought it was going to be the getting-uglier-by-the-day Janeane Garafalo.
"Dying ain't hard. It's living that's hard."
Billy Walsh, what a psychopath
You’re right about Garofalo. She was pretty attractive in her Seinfeld arc as Jerry’s fiance, but she’s gone significantly downhill since.
Keith Law: (1:45 PM ET ) I think Michael Young should shut his mouth and move to third base.
In my estimation, Walsh is the second most interesting character behind Ari.
You just don't know when to keep your mouth shut, do you Saxy boy?

Walsh
absolutely WAS the ONLY interesting character besides Ari. He hasn’t been on in a season or so, but yeah, the only other character with substance.
I like the show so much, but it’s soooo shitty
