The Mets have reportedly signed Oliver Perez to a 3 year, $36 million deal.
Hopefully, this gets the Ben Sheets situation moving again.

less than the 2/20 that was mentioned previously, and folks will go ballistic. More than OPerez got, and I’ll be fairly meh about it.

If the Rangers wait long enough maybe they can sign Sheets to a 1 yr deal for a pack of Skittles and free DART passes. If he goes 200 innings maybe throw in a couple tickets to the Dallas World Aquarium.

It makes sense to me that if the Rangers didn't believe there's a good chance Sheets won't even get to 100 innings this year they would have already signed him.
