PrintJeff Wilson reports that the Rangers have signed Eddie Guardado.
Minor league deal, $3 million in incentives. He has to be considered a lock to make the bullpen.
Wilson also notes that Bryan Corey has also signed as a minor league free agent, although he doesn't have an invite to the major league camp.

There sure is.
Your four posts in your LSB life have been:
1) Tom Hicks is cheap (thank you for the update)
2) Rob Neyer has an east coast bias (no, he really doesn’t)
3) The Eddie Guardado signing is boring (tons of substance there)
4) Asking if I have an actual point (see above)

2. I was not accusing Neyer of having an east coast bias. I was stating that Pedroia getting the MVP was a reflection of east coast bias.

Its a signing that needed to happen I suppose, fine and all, but can’t exactly get excited about it.

It’s a minor-league deal, so the commitment is limited. If he pitches well enough to get the incentives, then he probably would be worth $3 million or so on the open market anyway.
