MLB's Blackout Policy
MLB's blackout policy sucks.
And, apparently, isn't going to change anytime soon, despite promises to the contrary.

George Will?
Really? I respect Will and his writing even if I don’t always agree with him, but why is he considered an economy expert? From Paul Volcker at the previous meetings to Will. But they couldn’t find time to deal with the blackout issue.
They’re not going to fix this unless people start boycotting or something and it affects them financially.

Will
I frequently have visions of kicking George Will in the neck, however, I would consider him qualified to speak on the economy.
Purgatory's kind of like the in-betweeny one. You weren't really shit, but you weren't all that great either. Like Tottenham.
I'm not saying
he doesn’t know anything about the economy, but Will is well down the list of speakers I would choose for that topic, and a pretty big dropoff from Paul Volcker.

I'm not going to lie
I had to check to make sure that Paul Vocker wasn’t dead.

not only is he not dead
he seemingly has an important role in the admin.
"To be ignorant of one’s ignorance is the malady of the ignorant."
well yeah
Volcker’s one of the most well respected economists in the world. Shame Obama appears close to losing his counsel.

I was (half) kidding
about checking to see if Volcker was dead.
It would be unfortunate if his stint as an advisor was cut short becuase of Larry Summers.

George Will
He’s a baseball guy, and probably knows more about what Washington will do in response to the economy more than any other guy who could be bothered by a bunch of rich baseball club owners. He’s not unqualified, and he probably knows the highest combination of both political/economic stuff and baseball economics.
Do you really think a guy like Volcker would be spending these harried days talking to owners?
Volcker already did
talk to them. But I see your point about Will’s unique position as fan, politico, etc.

Like I believe you do, I live in Houston. With the blackout policy, it’s pretty tough to watch Rangers games. What method do you use to watch the games? I’ve found some slightly illegal ways to watch, but none that are simple. Help!
Direct TV
If you have that, or the Dish Network, you can see most of the games.

Yeah. Spies. They're little guys with beady eyes and long fingernails. They plant bugs that can pick up the hush of a man's heartbeat - or the whisper of a falling hair.
