Rangers sign Donnelly to a minor league deal

Stay connected for news and updates

T.R. Sullivan reports that the Rangers have signed Brendan Donnelly to a minor league deal.

Donnelly was a really good reliever for several years with the Angels, then had T-J surgery in 2007 and struggled with Cleveland last season returning from the surgery.

He's old and hasn't been good since 2006, but if he's fully recovered, he could be a nice addition to the bullpen.

He also can ask for his release if he's not on the major league roster on March 27 and April 27.
