I saw it was on in the fourth and watched from there
Giving up the run in the top of the 11th made it even better. That was really intense stuff, nice.
Although they are going to get destroyed in the next round it was a really good game and im glad they won.

He had 2 hard line drive outs and 2 walks in this game. Average hurt by poor luck but he had a good wbc showing.

He looked locked in at the plate, so I’m not too worried about the numbers.
And he made a nice play backing up on a hard line drive over his head late in the game. I’m excited about having his defense out there everyday in RF or LF this year.

Reynolds on MLB Network makes a good point about sloppiness
The Dutch scored five total runs in two games and four of them were because of bonehead plays by the Dominicans. Amazing what happens when you make the other team beat you instead of beating yourself. That pickoff throw that sailed in the 11th… I knew then that the Dominicans were pretty much done.
OT: Play the Cubans just made
Did anyone just see the play the Cuban second baseman made going up the middle and flipping the ball to the shortstop who threw the Austrailian runner out at first!?!

I can't remember the exact details,
but a woman was either killed or had her face maimed by a speedboat rudder. The ‘rumor’ was the boat description matched Rodman’s and he paid someone off. Complete rumor, I don’t mean to indict anyone, I just remember it being a hot topic, but not in the press.

Yup. Definitely remember that.
Actually, it had a random tie to my world. The cigarette boat that was supposedly involved in the accident was always parked at an employee of Rodman’s who lived in my neighborhood.
I never thought it was a rumor…I thought it actually happened. Honestly, I have no idea though.

I don’t know why the suggestion of a 100MPH throwing southpaw being transported by boat made me think of Rodman. I’m just glad someone else remembered those rumors, I was beginning to think I killed to many brain cells at UNT in the mid 90s.

The WBC has some issues...
but damn have there been some good games to watch this year. Both those wins yesterday by the Dutch and the Cubans were fantastic.
