Jason Cole
He’s in AZ for the start of minor league camp – will be there the rest of the week. Expect daily reports, updates, pix and video out of him. He talked to John Whittleman who’s been in Surprise since Jan. 20th working out.
Cole: Do you have any goals for yourself this season?
.
Whittleman: Yeah, it’s a big year for me. It’s a big, big year. A lot of stuff is going to happen this year. A lot of stuff can happen – it’s out there. My goal is to win a ring obviously. We want to win games as a team and go to the playoffs again. I want to win wherever I’m at. We always talk about competing and stuff, so I want to win.
.
As far as personal goals go, I’m not real big on that stuff, but I have high expectations for myself. We all know what the ultimate goal is in the end. That is what’s on my mind as far as personal goals go. When September rolls around and everyone is going home and the season’s over – I want to keep going and get the chance to play in the big leagues.
.
This is a big year for me, but as far as goals go, I just want to win and compete and have the opportunity to go up there.
BTW, Jason said Mitch Moreland “put on an absolute show during batting practice today. He was by far the most impressive player from watching B.P.”
so it's a big year I guess

A little info from Jason Cole
Jake Brigham is throwing in games. Cole hasn’t seen him yet, tho.
NeRa sprained an ankle [mildly] running his laps. No biggie. Out a coupla days then he’ll be fine.
NeRa has been in AZ since January throwing and working out, preparing his arm for full-season ball.
Hoping not to have a repeat of the sore/tired shoulder he had last summer.
Bianucci’s wrist – banged a double off the wall showing his clout remains turgid … like smelt on the cooling board. Yeah, I said it.
Guillermo Pimental is RAW – but has an effortless accurate cannon for an arm.
Just
a search on Youtube… why?

I know nothing, but
that arm action seems a little bumpy, whip-like.
