Holland ahead of Feliz?

Can’t buy it…yet at least.

Really?

Although some say Holland has a lower ceiling, he is close to major league ready, has better control, and is seen as a safer bet to develop into a top-flight major league pitcher. It depends on how you weigh risk against upside. I’m not sure the difference in ceilings is that great and Holland is more refined.

Personally, if I was offered either Holland or Feliz, I’d probably take Holland. But then again, I’m risk averse. I think you can make a strong argument either way.

Well, based on what we've been hearing about Feliz's curveball this spring

I think you have to put him ahead of Holland just based on ceiling. I’ve had Dutch in front of Feliz on the last two prospect polls Dirkatron did, but if Feliz’s curve is as good as or better than Hollands like we’ve been hearing, he’s going to be the better pitcher.

Now blogging again (temporarily) at "Hello Win Column".

This Spring

has changed my opinion of Feliz and Holland a bit. I still love Holland, but the things we’ve been hearing about Feliz recently make him the clear number 1 prospect for me. I can’t really blame the Project Prospect guys as I’m sure they were working on this earlier than just a week or two ago.

By 2028, Mark Teixeira will be in the HOF.

I like how they are all grouped together

#12, 15, and 16
#58, 59, and 61
#83, 84, and 87
#103, 104, and 111

Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.

probably means they did it in tiers first

then ranked the tiers

right?

that said, 9 prospects in the top 100, and 11 in the top 105 is pretty dang good

Scout: He was a first-round pick right? Got a huge bonus?
KG: Oh yeah.
Scout: Well, he spent a lot of it on milkshakes.
