But does anyone not believe that we’ll see something similar during the season?
When Kinsler is out, we’ll be treated to Arias, Andrus, Vizquel, or some other guy that’s stolen a base or two. For Wash, speed at the top of the lineup is key.
1 – speed
2 – batting average (and veteran)
3 – Best Bat
4 & 5 power and protection.
We should all thank our lucky stars that Kinsler will take a bag or two during the season. If he didn’t he could put up an OBP of .450, and still be relegated to hitting 6th.

I think if Kinsler wasn’t a base stealer we would see him hitting either 2nd or drop down to the 5 or 6 spot and let him focus more on slugging the ball. In fact next year I wouldn’t be suprised with Borbon here to see Kins in the 2 hole and Young drop down to the 6 spot

if you want to make sure you see some real ABs from Vizquel, this is how you do it. Davis and Salty’s jobs are pretty secure.
Its spring training, they’re really not trying to win games. Focusing on lineups is kind of weird to me at this point.
True, all the angst over ST lineups is silly.
I do think that is the reason for batting Vizquel 1st, though.

fellajsmall (ATL): Am I stupid as a Braves fan to not mind the deal for Teixeira? We obviously gave up most people thought we had the best team on paper going into last year. Satly and Harrison seem to flattening out and we know what Andrus is. I think that trades winds up being Feliz for Tex.

I really do want to see the answer to this question. BA for instance rates the A’s as having the 3rd best system and Goldstein seems extraordinarily high on Carter. Ynoa is also something I’m curious about since he doesn’t have a single pro inning yet is the A’s top prospect according to Goldstein.

too bad Corey Young pitched yesterday. I already emailed Evan Grant to ask about the possibility of Young being our 2nd lefty in the pen this year, depending on Guardardo’s injury status. He said that Ballard is probably first in line but that he would look into it.

My company just blocked all the webmail (gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc.) youtube and myspace/facebook, but did not block here or some other bulletin boards I go to. Does your paper block some sites?
What’s really fun… sometimes the local school districts’ e-mail servers block e-mail sent to our paper’s domain. It hasn’t been a problem in a while, but it has been in the past and I had to use my yahoo mail address to get something important a couple of times.
My computer is so old, I can't get to those sites anyway
So I bring my personal computer and hook up to the Internet with it :)

My work computer is an intel iMac from January 2007
but the blocking is through the ISP… I could go, buy the most expensive MacBook Pro available, bring it here and still be blocked from those sites. I have to check my google mail with my phone now.
My work computer is a Mac G4

This computer replaced a G3 server on OS 9
I actually had the G3 server because it was sitting around collecting dust and I know enough about computers to get it back running to replace my iMac G3/333 MHz/256 MB RAM that was my computer when I started here. Strangely enough, when we went to Intel iMacs, OS X, Quark 6.5 and Photoshop CS2, we started having fewer crashes.
One method used to bypass Websense is to use a web-based proxy site. With a proxy, Websense sees you browse to the web proxy — not to the web site you are actually browsing to. You browse to the web proxy, and then the web proxy browses to the web site you want to visit. The reason that these web proxies are able to bypass Websense is the the ‘S’ in the HTTP address (https://) stands for secure connection and Websense does not block such secured connections. This is probably the simplest way to get around the Websense program as it takes little time and no one will wonder what you are up to.

Blalock got up, but left the game, dabbing at his forehead with a towel. Couldn’t tell if he opened a gash or not.
The Rangers aren’t the only club interested in finding out if Blalock can still play the position. The New York Yankees could be in the market for a replacement for Alex Rodriguez while he recovers from shoulder surgery. The Houston Astros could use somebody to replace Aaron Boone, who underwent open heart surgery this week. Both clubs have had scouts around the Rangers this week.
