This could be a really fun one to watch
The buzz up here is INCREDIBLE! I’m in Mpls/St Paul. NDSU’s first appearence in their first eligible year and their are a lot of fans in town. The conference hockey tournament has brought a lot of North Dakota fans as well (they are the #1 seed in that tournament). It is just absolutely nuts today around the North Dakotans. I expect good things from that NDSU fan.

I think Utah St...
could beat Marquette. In fact I picked them to do so.
Marquette’s star player is hurt and they are something like 1-5 in the last 6 games without him.

Yeah but KU was very lackluster.
Aside from a couple of the 1 and 2 seeds, I’m very unimpressed with the higher seeds in games thus far.

Actually, now that I look at it...
…even though I have the Big XII winning every opening round game, I only have two (Mizzou and OU) in the Sweet Sixteen.
I’ve got Duke over UT, West Virginia over KU, UConn over TAMU, and Pitt over OkSU.

I think UT can take Duke out...
but it’ll be tough close to home for the Devils…I have Kansas taking out WVU…and while I don’t really believe it, I have A&M taking out UConn. That’s really the key to my bracket. Pitt takes out OSU I think, but they’re having a tough time against the 16 seed today so far

UT, IMHO, is one of the most underachieving teams this year.
They have a TON of talent in their starting five, and they’ve done absolutely nothing with it. They are certainly capable of taking out a team like Duke and making a serious run to the Final Four, but they’ve choked all year and while they might beat Duke, it will certainly be a challenge for them to do so.

I’m at 20 of 24. Was a big believer of the 11 seeds today but Utah St. and Temple let me down. I had Dayton as well.
This will all come down to which one of us picked the winner though. You really can’t win a bracket unless you pick the Champion.

For all you Big XII fans. . .
The Big XII is the only conference with more than two bids to have outperformed their expectations against seeding. They should have been expected to win 8 games and I believe they’ve won 10, with Mizzouri currently winning and a couple teams left alive. Definitely outperforming in the tournament.
The Pac 10 is also the only other conference with 3+ bids that can exceed their expectations today (mostly because their teams were seeded so low). They’ve already met expectations and can exceed them if USC upsets MSU.
And the SEC fails hard.
And the Mountain West fails even harder.
Who was it talking about the MWC underperforming in March? May be something to that.
