That would stink.
NOTABLE ABSENCE: I did not see catching prospect Cristian Santana in camp today and fear that he may be one of the five Dominican players caught up in this year’s age-gate.

Age-gate
Santana and Fabio Castillo were the two guys that most concerned me. Has anyone seen Fabio Castillo at Spring Training?

If those 2 are part of it
That would be disappointing, but it could be a lot worse. Its would also be kind of strange that they struggled so much last year.
By 2028, Mark Teixeira will be in the HOF.

Santana and Castillo
It is easier for me to reconcile the struggles of both players in Clinton last year if their 2007 numbers in Arizona and Spokane were achieved as 20-year-olds instead of 18-year-olds.

I was thinking about that right after I posted that but still,
The jump from rookie ball or A- to A ball isn’t anywhere near as hard as the other jumps in the minors. And at least in Santana’s case, he just took a nose dive from his 2007 numbers. With Castillo, its easier to see statistically at least.

Isn't it only...
Dr. Dirk A. Tron MD that is such a fanatic Lemonhead around here? I do know others like him around here but I don’t think anyone likes him as much as Dirk, including his own mother.

Yeah...
there are a few others here who like Lemon, but Dirk A. Tron clearly is at the head of that train. Someone better get him a towel after he reads that. I’m sure he will have a mess to clean up.

Lemon-supporters
Dirkatron is clearly the ringleader, but I think that Lemon’s performances the last two years have been under-appreciated. He posted very solid numbers in the pitcher-friendly MWL (300/390/410/800 from June-September) and was having a phenomenal year in the Cal League (315/410/460/870) until a month-long slump in August dropped his final line to 298/376/437/813). Lemon did this as a 19 and 20 yo in A and A+ ball. He might not be one of those guys that takes your breath away, but I expect him to have a very productive year in Frisco this year.

Dirkatron is surely the president of the fan club.
I’m also a big fan because his old man was one of my favorites. Hell, I rooted for Aaron Oliver at A&M in football for the same reason.
I guess I can’t make fun of Nascarites being Jr. fans because of his pops. “All I wanna do is race daddy.”

We need to organize the bandwagons around here
Who’s driving the bandwagons, who is riding shotguns, and who is along for the ride. It sounds like a good project for strange orange hat man.
