Evan's cryptic comment
So, after a long, busy day today, I'm getting caught up on reading, and I see this at the Inside Corner:
We’ve got some things we’re finishing up before we make a little announcement on Monday. Oops. Did I spill something? (See, Tim/Eric, that’s how you tease ‘em; just leave it hanging out there all weekend).
So...let's hear some guesses as to what this is. Closest to correct wins a prize.

It's a unique taste
Whataburger might be “as good” but it’s not “the same.”
You HAVE seen Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, right? Remember how the guy in the movie said when you get a craving for those sliders, absolutely nothing else will fit the bill? Same thing for In-N-Out… other burgers might be as good but nothing tastes quite the same.
Really, it's not a matter of In-N-Out being that good.
Although, for a fast food place, it’s pretty good.
Whataburger just sucks a big bag of dicks.
No...
In N’ Out makes better everything except for fries. That’s actually important in the rankings. I hate In N’ Out fries so I don’t go as often as I might, but good god damn, their burgers and shakes are awesome.
You have to know the (not so secret) secret menu, though. Order the Double Double animal style an the shake Neapolitan.
I love the little packets of ketchup Whataburger has. I’d have them shipped to me out here to the Bay if I could.

hey GOET..
I’ve heard people ordering them animal style…does that mean lettuce, tomato, pickle which is how I get mine.
What's the Nef tally??
"Animal Style" =
the meat is cooked and fried with mustard and then pickles are added, extra spread and grilled onions are added.
Animal Style fries might be the worst thing I’ve ever seen, however. It’s the fries with the burger spread and chopped up pickles and onion. It makes me queasy just thinking about it.

I got 2 or 3 in my old neighborhood, the West Village, which IMO is the nicest part of NYC to walk around in, with its’ brick lined streets, smaller charming buildings, and trees everywhere. Also keeping in mind that you are on a budget. I’ll let ya know when I get back from the gym in a couple hours.

1. The Corner Bistro- Always at the top of the best burger in the city rankings. Can’t beat it for 5 bucks…you may have to wait 15 minutes depending on when you go. It’s more of a pub type place with tons of cheap beers to choose from
http://cornerbistro.ypguides.net/page/nqhw/Menu.html
2. Pepe Verde – charming little restaurant with a great menu, the employees all talk to themselves in Italian. Good food, great prices, you can get out of there for 30 to 40 bucks for 2 easily. Recommend -—> Pear, arugula and gorgonzola salad
http://nymag.com/listings/restaurant/pepe-verde-to-go/
3. Cowgirl – For a touch of Texas on the streets of Manhattan and yes you can be on the street literally since they have outdoor tables. Who doesn’t like a little frito lay pie from time to time?
http://nymag.com/listings/restaurant/cowgirl/
4. Magnolia Bakery- for amazing desserts- LOVE the cupcakes and banana pudding with vanilla wafers. It’s been seen on sex in the city many times.. quite famous in the city and rightfully so. It’s just a few blocks from all the places I mentioned above. It’s a must go!

That’s how much of an impression it made on me. That’s a damn good burger.
No mayo for me, but...
otherwise, this is the closest thing to a perfect fast food burger. You simply cannot go wrong with sourdough.
I get mayo on it for moisture
But no ketchup or mayo… in other words, how the burger originally came out in 2000 before they “improved” it a couple years later.
I tend to agree,
but the sirloin burger at JITB is rapidly replacing the Ultimate Cheeseburger for me.

I can't believe this disintegrated into burger talk
I thought we went over all this last week. We move on at The Corner.
But of those who stayed on topic – hey, thanks a lot for posting all these guesses at InsideCorner – I especially liked adding Nolan as a guest blogger (We’ll work on that, but don’t hold your breath); the suggestion that I scored a shirt endorsement (which I find funny, since most of my shirts are Reyn Spooner, whose company is somehow now advertising on this site instead ours); and the Ranger Hour (somebody call The Fan or Ben & Skin right away). Alas only one guess is even remotely close (actually very close, but a little general). And that guess is none of the ones mentioned in this post.

No kidding.
Their first album, Can’t Buy a Thrill, is mind-blowingly good. Although I love Pretzel Logic and Katy Lied, they did veer a bit more towards rock.
Nevertheless, Steely Dan always blows me away for the crystal clarity in their recordings and perfect balance between all instruments. The way they incorporate percussion and still manage to balance the sound is what gets me the most.
Yep
Fagen & Becker are perfectionists. ‘Countdown to Ecstasy’ is another must have, might be my favorite. Depends on the mood. I’m still trying to figure out what the background vocalists are saying in ‘Show Biz Kids’.

If you want to know anything about SD
email Mike Rhyner at The Ticket. He is an absolute fanatic, and has hung out with them before.

Countdown to Ecstasy is greatness too.
My favorite track on that album is Your Gold Teeth, but it’s all really good. I didn’t like Bodhisattva at all when I first started listening, but the track has really grown on me over time. Playing it on Rock Band was a real treat (and a huge insight into just how technically difficult their music really is).
Their concerts sound like you are sitting in a sound booth w/ headphones on
Unbelievably tight and crisp.

I'm still upset
I missed their last stop here with Michael McDonald opening.

I also thought that
and I also hope not. Nothing to do with him starting to slack here either. Though I wouldn’t want that to happen either.
I'm not sure
Perhaps the Rangers deck of playing cards I got last season at the game.

I think it's a player blogger too.
But I’ll guess it’s Kinsler.
Check the stats, absolutely, but look at the face.

PEDRO
Rangers spring for Pedro for 4 million and incentives.
I don't know if I would be opposed. Move Feldman to the bullpen and it gets interesting.
