Lets see if Mathis can throw strikes. In past years, it always seemed that the pitchers couldn’t throw strikes when we had the lead. Nothing is more aggravating than watching your pitcher putting the catch-up runs on base for free.

There is going to be a major transition
that he will eventually handle but it will take a while. Cal Ripken says 100 games.

baseball preview issue.
They say Rangers will once again have worst defense in the league (even with Andrus at SS & Young at SS) and really need to move Josh to a COF spot.
I’m still searching for reasons this thing won’t lose 90 games in 2009.

dude what is with the personal vendetta against andrus?
I get your shtick and all but really? The only reason he is up already is for his defense and he has been flawless for the most part this spring. If he can hit .255 (his spring average) all year from the 9 hole and play the best defensive short stop since i started following the rangers, does that not make the team better? Its not like everyone in our lineup has to put up ungodly numbers at the plate.
I simply don't think he's ready for The Show.
I do think he has potential to be a good player in 3-4 years.

is making predictions that are so vague that he can take credit or deny blame depending on the outcome years later….Just ignore him.
