MLB to fans: Drop dead

MLB's blackout policy hasn't changed -- and in fact, now that the MLB Network is around and is carrying a Thursday night game, there is yet another blackout to deal with.

But we have this reassuring bit of news from MLB on the subject:

“We’re still working on it.”

Well as long as they're working on it.

Does this mean any game shown on MLB Network is nationally blacked out?

I have MLB.TV, and I’ve already had enough with the blackout policies about ESPN’s nationally-televised games.

the only thing they're working on

is how to squeeze more money out of fans.

Milton Bradley to Cubs: I am the shit.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/chi-26-cubs-chicago-mar26,0,4928094.story

Predictions are starting to emerge as the season draws near, and it’s no surprise most prognosticators are picking the Cubs to win the NL Central.
“They should,” Milton Bradley said. “I’m here.”
………..
“Everywhere I go, people win. It’s not a surprise.”
………..
“I can wake up out of the bed and play outfield,” he said. “It’s easy.”

everywhere he goes, people win. of course, every team will win a game or two, but how many teams has Milton Bradley brought to the playoffs….hmmm, i wonder what his definition of winning is?

He’s been to the playoffs twice- with the Dodgers in ‘04 and the A’s in ’06.

Scout: He was a first-round pick right? Got a huge bonus?
KG: Oh yeah.
Scout: Well, he spent a lot of it on milkshakes.

mlb owners etc don't have any power over the players

so the collective of mlb has to impose it’s will on someone, might as well do it to their lifeblood — the fans.

In other words, I'm totally good where I am.

Except for when the Rangers come visit the Angels.
